Hey guys, Just wanted to show off my current Hempy grows a little bit, and wanted to give all you other Hempy growers the opportunity to show off your stuff too. So let's see those Hempy buckets. This first plant is a clone from my first grow. It was from some Mexican brick that's not all that great as far as smoke goes, but it grows well, and it gets the job done. She's been in a Hempy bucket since she rooted and is currently at day 47 of flowering. This next plant was from a batch of unknown seeds I germinated. I ended up with 3 out of 3 males, and this was a little runt that just wouldn't grow and never made it off the window sill. I almost pulled it several times, but decided to just keep it around for the novelty to see if I could get it to do something. I put it into flower for the hell of it, and not only did it turn out to be a femme, but it is kickin ass and lookin sweet. I have no idea what it is, but I can't wait to smoke this shit. If you can obtain any clues as to possible strain from the pics, please let me know what you think. This next pic is the whole flowering bunch kickin it under the 400. The above two plants as well as 5 more clones from the big one there that have rooted and are also in Hempy buckets and were just put into flower yesterday. Post up your Hempy grows past or present.
the unknown strain.. how old and how tall is she?.. my plant LOOKS just as tall with way more branches and possible bud sites but im only in week 5 of veg and im not sure if i should kick itinto f lowering mode yet becuase shes over a foot tall. and also how much would your yield be on this unknown strain??
Ishmeil, The plant is currently about a foot tall and I believe it's on day 46 of flowering. She was only about 4" tall when I put her into flower. I normally keep a grow chart that I use to track a bunch of different data points for each grow. I never expected this plant to make into flower so I wasn't tracking data for it. It's got a couple more weeks to go, but if I pulled it today, I would guess I'd get only about 1/2 - 3/4 oz. Thanks Sombud
My first Hempy grow 1 week into flowering Tex-Mex (name I gave to some good bagseed. VERY Sativa) :'> (2) Great White Shark White Widow plant #1 White Widow plant #2
Hempy growth rate I was disappointed in Hempy for the first month as the seedlings grew very slowly. After 6 weeks they were still smaller than my soil plants. Now they are 1 week into 12/12 and the Hempy's are bigger than the soil plants. Next time I will be using clones instead of seeds so they should grow faster.
4" clone no. 4" seedling yes It was a seedling that never really took off like the others in it's group (which turned out to be all males ). It stayed really short and had about 5 or 6 nodes that were less than 1/4" apart. I wish I had a pic. I threw it into flower just to see what would happen. Good call Right now, I also have seven seedlngs from some seeds that should be the same. Of those 7, 5 are really stretching and 2 are staying short like this one did. It will be interesting to see how they sex.
These where freshly cut 12 Days Later 21 Days Later in new pots, Mom's are in the buckets on the floor.
If anyone cares to humor me, I would love to see a side by side comparison of Hempy and DWC (same strain, same light, just good controlled conditions). I see some great hempy plants but they do seem slower than DWC and growth rate is most important to me (for now at least, that will change eventually).
Mine, may have grown so fast because I would put them outside during the day. I tell you what I'll like to see is DWC outdoors.
Looking GREAT man! Very Interesting to say the LEAST about them all, Thanks AverageJoe for sharing your experiences with all of us here! Very Good Grow Indeed my friend! :sign13: Really interested in this METHOD in general, But still NOT getting to total hang of it,lol, although getting there the more you guy's put together these beautifull n bountifull Grows from these HEMPY methods! otleaf:  Great work AvJ... Keep it up n all the Rest too, UrBigBuddie........ otleaf:  indeed!
Word Yeah 100% same here..... i think we all owe saxby a debt of gratitude for sharing this ,till he posted it,unheard of method and since iv sen ppl's reults like our own mr-gj its just coniced me more...im a hydrophobiac but this seems simple enough to not scare me off and it may just be the method that finally sees me changing from plain soil to hempy for a while....KUDOS TO SAXBY:notworthy:...and all who have successfully done it since then:icon_salut:Cheers
Vermiculite I use 100% perlite in most of the pots. They are doing as good as the pots with 3 parts perlite:1 part vermiculite.
Thanks for the kind words. So far I have learned almost everything I know from GK, so you all can also take credit for these grows. Unfortunately only a couple of us will get to enjoy the fruits...:laughing7: So far I have found this method to be very easy. Now I just need to work on getting the nute strength dialed in.
duplicate HHG, I also noticed the slow initial growth, but they sure do take off once the roots hit that reservoir. Boo-ya
