how do you go about topping a plant, what time in the life cycle of the plant , and dose it still yeild the same thanxs
hello jiggyjohn weather to top or not depends on mostly two things. Growth pattern of strain and available space to grow. Sativas like mexican commercial beans will get very tall and lanky...so after veging i top. Sometimes i will top during the first week of flowering when plant is atleast 12 inches tall. it is important that your plant is large and sexually mature. I like to top leaving 5-10 internode branches that will all grow relatively the same heighth like a hedge. If your strain is more indica or grows naturally like a stalk then topping it should be avoided. Single-Cola Topped
