Wiring help, Herbsparky are ya out there?

    Herb or anybody else, I removed ballast and starter from my 150w hps and rewired them remote, in an electrical box. It worked twice when i tested it last night but this morning when timer kicked on the light didnt work. I know my wiring was good and I re-checked it this morning to be sure.
    Thank God for Lowes though. I put it all back together nice and neat and took it back to store like it just quit working. No problem but I still want to make it a remote ballast because of the heat. I know, I know, Heat from a 150watter.But my closet is small and its runnin about 95 deg with ventilation and exhaust. I need a remote ballast. Can U help?

    I'm not sure what I can help ya with. If you had the wiring right and it didn't work then I have no way of knowing what may be wrong unless I was there to test it.

    Cant you just come over here and do it for me. Just kidding Herb. I saw your response in other post and answered you there as well. Ill try again when I have a backup light on hand. Might not be any problem other than defective product but I dont want to chance it. I tried the jog method on 1 of my clones and I am so impressed with it. Last grow I had 4 girls with twin colas on each, this time just one plant with 24 tops on it. Freakin amazing, this thing is. Glad you recommended it for my limited space.Thanks for the help man.

    Hey bigwil, I'm 17 days into 12/12.(Flowering) I vegged for 10 weeks and jogged he F#$% out of this girl. Got 24 tops on her and they are all about the same size and height.

    Hey Bigwill, dude you gotta have the right light spectrum for flowering. Hps provides that, while MH lights are better for veg growth. Myself, I use floro's for veg stage and get great results. Although a MH light would provide more lumens( amount of light)resulting in faster growth, the problem I am having with heat would be even worse. In the future I plan on getting a light system from Hydrofarm but I need to have a larger grow area to accomodate the larger light system.
    It appears that you are pretty new to growing, or at least GrowKind, so take the time to read as much as you can. I do appreciate all replies givin to my posts.As long as you are open to taking advice, and read as much as you can, you'll do fine
