hey guys. i'm a long time obsessive gamer, and i'm looking to get back into one of my old rpgs. are there any WoW players in here? i quit at 70 with a holy priest in t4-t5 gear. any ideas of what I have to expect if i start back up? what do yall play? let's chat about some wow.
lvl 80 T7 Mage on Durotan WoW hasn't changed much get your priest to 80 patch 3.1 is introducing a priest legendary mace
I had a level 70 warlock, with 5 piece t6. Got almost all through sunwell, but quit just before wotlk came out. Gave my toon to the guild i was in and deleted the game from my comp. Best thing i ever did :roulette: ccasion18:
Anyone recall the who the guy was that said they had to have an intervention? Um... If you couldn't sustain a healthy relationship with it then what makes you think now would be any different?
Going to have to agree with ya there. My buddy that was all into it was like "you have no imagination" I was like no I have an imagination I just got find any enjoyment in slow drawn out game play. Final fantasy 7 was about as far as I went on shit like that, tried the others and couldn't get into it. Now get me on some call of duty 4 and I'll slay some fuckers, or some type of racing game. Gotta have something fast paced and action backed, shit I don't have hours to play video games. MK yea I remember that shit, there was also a girl who they reported died from playing WOW too much. How is that? The kid hardly ever slept and ignored to a great extent her hunger and need for water. Then two fucktard loser fuck parents neglected their baby and it died. Here is a screen shot posted from the morn of her death
wow... hop on the WoW hatin' bandwagon! video games are as potentially addictive as gambling. i believe it works on the same circuits. does that mean i can't enjoy gambling from time to time? i am well aware that video games are that way... and WoW in specific. before i played wow i played Runescape, a grindfest of a game that is 100x more boring. no exaggeration, I literally got in over 40 hours a week through most of high school. about 6 hours a weeknight and 10 on the weekends. i believe it's patially why I have serious insomnia problems now. it's something you have to learn to control your use of, just like marijuana! i don't think anyone will argue that smoking an infinite amount of pot is better for you than smoking what you need to get by. i want to play this because i've recently been overwhelmed by my huge social network and need another one person activity. and I already am an avid reader (get in maybe 2 books per week) and am working on writing a book. it's when your interests aren't well rounded and balanced that you have problems with video game use. I find it less creative than many other activities. by a long shot. any graphically based game (to me) takes away the ability to creatively visualize the surroundings for your character. it's easy to get lost in the world... of warcraft. but it's not a world of your mind or your making.
Well this thread is super old..... I just started playing WOW :roffl: I still think it's funny to call it that. Anyway, I just started playing. I'm not fanatical about it but I do like a little gaming now and then. I used to do XBox Live but i sold all my XBOX's. I know a lot of people probably hate on WOW so whatever's clever! If anyone ever wants to play together hit me up.:thumbs-up: :bong-2: :nanner-2:
game playing wow and other games i dont mind playing a game for a while but i think the last game i was addicted to was galaga...or space invaders.... but the peeps that get me (and i hope i am not referring to anyone in here)are the ones that play the social games...where u can live in an urban area or on a farm or you can own an apartment in a big city,,,,,u go to work and when you get home you have to play....its like living a surreal life through the computer....i would rather live my own life for real...and i have big time...lol anyone here know what i am talking about? my daughter does it,,, and her daughter does it as well in www. disney.com.....can u freggin believe that....
Yeah I know those games. My buddy has an 11 year old daughter that plays all those online social games where you buy some toy and then don't play with it, you just go online and simulate playing as the toy in a make believe world where there is no point to the game except to be online and to go keep buying the toys so they can add onto their made up house or whatever. I guess it's not that much different than WOW. I buy game cards and then go online to play a character in a made up world in order to accumulate what? experience points and new gizmos and gadgets? I know it's not for everyone and I definitely think kids should be playing outside rather than sitting in front of the computer or TV. I keep myself from becoming addicted by maintaining focus and remembering that it's just a game and I only play when I'm home alone. It's no substitute for real social interaction with actual people. If I feel as though it's becoming a problem I get rid of it. That's why I don't have my XBOX's anymore. I was completely addicted to COD Modern Warfare and World at War. I spent hours upon hours playing on XBOX Live to the point where I had to finally sell both my XBOX's. I still miss those games. Anyway. Games are what they are, FAKE and often times ADDICTIVE, but also FUN.
I played WOW for a months or so, it got boring. Now, Dawn Of War (real time strategy) or modern warfare 2, they are addictive games. Ive been playing DOW online for over 4 years now, i think.
