in the last day the res of my hydro system went cloudy whate and started smelling like cheap wine. there is no sugar in my res but did my res get yeast in it?what should i do my ph also went all out of wack on tuseday it was at 6.8 so i corrected it to 5.8 and today it is sitting at like 7.5 and 800ppm i plan on flushing the system with a hydrogen peroxide solution to try and clean it out any other ideas on whqat happened or what is wrong
Hmm well how would you have got yeast in your res without knowing about it? Do you only check your pH every week? you need to monitor that thing alot more until you get it down. Do you ever clean your system if so when was the last time, also do you use oraganic or synthetic nutes? Sounds like you got some root rot starting to come up in the res kinda, bacteria and more living organisms need a sugar source if you aren't using carbo load it seems it might be possible that root rot is whats starting to develope and is spreading in the water. so if i were you i would get those babies out of there and into some plain pH adjusted water let them soak and mix in 30ml of H202 per gallon and let it set for a few hours, i would then change it and repeat the process a few times just to make sure you overcome whats causing this cause even if the H202 doesn't kil it, it should give the roots enough oxygen to help revive them a little. I would clean that res out with a good mild bleach and dish soap scrubbing, then rinse extremely well and dry before refilling the res and replacing the plants.
