Ok Ive been through the FAQ and it pretty much sounds like topping and fimming boils down to personal preferance. I realy dont care what the plant looks like I just want the moooost dankest bud I can have. I have a closet grow under a 250w HPS. 6ft tall but only like 1.5 x1.5 ft wide. Right now theyre vegging (4 of them) but realisticly 1 or 2 will be male. So should I just keep 1 main cola(no topping/fimming) so it can grow tall? Last time I did top the girls and had a good yied but the buds got very top heavy and I had to hang some up and tape some to the wall. Any input would be cool. about the novel. Herbal
You have 4 plants in an area 1.5' x 1.5'? but that about the space you need for one plant...not 4. You're gonna have a hard time with 2 even. I'd say if you want the MOOOOST out of your grow do a scrog grow under a screen the same size as the grow space with only 1 female.
Its actually 26 in x 19in (2ftx1.5ft) but its real tall like 7ft. Its enough room to squueze the(4) pots in. I think the pots are 2.5 gallon (guessing). I got them for $2bones at Wallmart. Isnt the scrog method for very short grow spaces like a short dresser or grow box? I do like the idea of fimming the hell out of them and letting each top lay on the screen. Last time I was tying strings, taping sides of stems, ect... tring to keep the buds vertical toward the light. Horizontal buds = more light hitting them right? A 250 will only penetrate about 3 feet into the plant. You can grow them 10 feet tall but only the top 3 feet will give you the buds. So if you go above three feet your just wasting grow time and growing stem. Get bigger pots or you will be having root bound before you can blink your eyes. 5150
