I just checked out your new growin op... and i completely understand now... so let me get it str8 anyways, you put 4 floros on em, 2 of each of those brands for 27 days, at the same time training them with those green hooks(where'd you find those anyway?), then after they started "gettin outta hand", you put the HPS on em and by that time they were exploding with growth, i believe i know why, you expanded the "light gathering" area significantly, and they just loved it...? correct? i am sooooooooooo gonna try that hahaha. also does anyone know where i can get a hood for my 400w,(exactly like the one above)and not off an internet site(they're too pricy for a poor pothead like me!) and that metal insert... did you fashion that yourself or can you actually buy those things, thats an excellent idea! thanks guys, cant wait to see my own results of this J.O.G!! haha imma tell all my friends bout this one!! haha j/k! You got it Str8 there Rastafari, the hooks i fashioned with catenary wire, plastic coated wire. Im not sure where you would get a reflector/hood and heat sheild from, im lucky enough to have a shop close by that sells everything you need for "budding" plants. The Reflector cost me $20us and the heatsheild was about the same.
WHAT!!??!?!?! $20 thats it!!! i have looked and looked, and i swear to god, on the internet the cheapest thing i could find was no less than $200us!! and that included light, ballast, and hood, but you see i've done much research at the local light shops round here and guess what i found, a ballast that would work fine for $20, and my light was only $26, WHERE DO YOU LIVE??? CAN I SEND YOU THE MONEY SERIOUSLY!!! i would pay you anything up to $100 if you could get me the heat sheild and reflector! i swear to god, i'll put the cash in the mailbox RIGHT NOW!! no joke! i am sooooooooooooo despirate to find these things, my biggest female darla is dying as we speak due to less than adequite lighting conditions, I have the friggin light, i just dont have the other components!! HELP ME PTKO!! I BEG YOU!! I AM SOOOOOOOO SERIOUS ABOUT THIS! and its not like its risky, i mean i am willing to put my trust in you for this one thing, and if you were to come thru for me! i would be eternally in your debt!! LOL, Well im in New Zealand, right down below at the bottom of the world, so it would be a little more difficult than you would think. www.sog.co.nz this is the shop i bought all my stuff. My reflector is just a bit of powdercoated sheetmetal, fashioned into that shape. Im sure you should be able to find a shop similar.
Those babes are f, just wonderin how long your branches were, (how high the plant would be untied) when you stuck them to flower. I usuall only tie down a couple branches to open the plant and literally chop the **** out of anything else that is small and week. Im trying to leave them alone this pick, (have only tied and topped main stem once), but it hard. Always nice to c some "kiwi kind".

And what in Gods name are you using as a fert? I caught the bit about Superthrive <have to get me some o' that!> but...damn... And for a setup like this...what kinda expense we talking? One thing I am sure of...if Knives can do it...then others can too (even a newbie like me! lmao)
I found it very easy, it is a weed after all, and im finding this grow i am doing even less in the way of ferts than last time. I have only tipped the left plant once on one main trunks, it has two main trunk. The right plant hasnt been tipped at all. Just training. The right plant as you can see below, was trained totally horizontal, i planted the clone up to a T junction, and then trained them along the ground in opposite directions. The right plant i grew as normal for the first week, then bent it 90 degrees, so most of it is lower branches When i put them in flower they were 8 inches high. As for cost, well im a sparky so i get equipment cheap. For everything so far ive spent 600Nz dollars or 300Us or 200squid.The size is 4ft high, 5ft long and 3ft wide.

Just a question to you experienced growers and growers who are up to date on the new strains... The leaves are dying off slowly, and ive never heard of more leaves less potent. Since i harvested im smoking way less, cause the stone last hours longer than **** ive bought. I was under the impression that more leaves, more energy for the buds, therefore bigger and more potent buds, but hey i could be wrong.
Ha right working again! I think he might have ment that the leaves may be blocking the light from the buds. But with good training that wouldn't happen!
