ok, so ive been in denial for a while now, and ive decided to stop being a little ***** and admit to myself that i have a mite problem. ive done a little research on mite controls, and i was wondering if anyone has a home-brew for takin out the lil bastards. ive read the FAQs (lovely pesticides) but ive read that pesticides often dont kill mites. thanks!

Three things, I've used this stuff called, "don't bug me" for fungus knats. Never used it for mites. Won't lie to you, they're a BITCH to get ALL gone. They are the reason I got out of inside dirt grows, though that will not alone keep em' out.

Ranger has a recipe, for this home brewed organic spray, I don't know if its in the FAQ, I hear its good.

I've once used Ivory soap, mixed in peanut oil, to smother them. It knocked them back, but they hung on. I had to break the whole room all the way down, let off bombs, let the room go dormant for a while, the go get a cut from a mate, I know thats not always there for everyone.

I would look for Rangers recipe, I've heard good things about it.

Not to be a pain, but after you get through this, in the future, refrain from bringing house plants in, or cut flowers into the house. If you go out to do yard work, or mow, shower before going to the grow. Its not a lock to keep em' out, but it helps, alot.

Hope you get em' and good luck!

Ranger's recipe uses garlic, peppers and dish soap. I have used it. However, I got some advice to use products that contain neem oil or new insecticidal SOAPS. I used Ranger's recipe as directed if the faq.wonderful stuff. Smells horrendous, but wonderful. I used it for a couple of weeks every other day and then went to the neem oil and soap. Worked great, but almost impossible to rid them completely. If you quit spraying completely the little bastards will reappear. Once I knocked them back I went to spraying just once a week. I alternated weeks with the soap, neem oil and Ranger's. Always sprayed on the same day of the week. Soak 'em and the dirt good. Make sure if you buy a chem that it says it can be used until day of harvest. I hope this helps some. Good luck

if your late in flower, you can stop them enough to finish if you put a fan right on the little fuckers & spray with ice water 3-4 times a day ,,, wont kill them but youll be able to finish your harvest,, ive just had to do it for close to 3 weeks, what mites are left ill smoke. they hate cold and wind. good luck.

Had em and used Neem oil. Other than burning the leaves a little from the oil under the lights, it worked GREAT!!! And it's natural. :bigok:
