Back in the saddle.............

Well i did take a year off, had plenty of meds so why risk it when you don't have to. For those of you who don't know me i was a die hard soil organics guy who did hydro on some legal herbs. I decided to go hydro for Mary because the growth is outstanding and yield is second to none plus i know what they are being fed and how often. Went with DWC buckets with Pure blend pro ferts, maxi crop seaweed,and botanicare "sweet" which is basically a sugar booster. Needless to say i'm sticking with DWC. I also start seeds or clones in DWC in veg.......made some 1 gal dwc containers in the veg chamber. Right now i have 1 Astro boy, 2 ak47's, and a swt#4 in one week flower. All confirmed female from pre flowers in veg. I also downgraded my light from a 400 HPS to a 250 HPS because the 400 was "bleaching" plants.

You guys are making me blush. I'm far from being an expert but i do know a few things.


Indi, the wife never did find out but i started working out of my house in June and thought it might be a security issue so i moved the book case to a friends house.He's a green horn when it comes to growing so i teach him the skills, he helps me out and we split the harvest 50/50.


For those of you who don't know my setup. It's a bookshelf. The door to the grow up is actually the bookshelf which is mounted on castors and swings open. Here's a couple old pics from last year.

 

Man that is one finely engineered setup. But, how in the hell did you keep that from your wife? I can't fucking fart without mine knowing.

 

LOL, well it's virtually quiet for one and she wasn't home when i lugged  a 3 foot deep book shelf in. I did have one close call one morning at 2 am. I was running a drip/nft system in it and i let the water level get low and the water fall effect kicked in. She bumped me from a deep sleep saying "what's that noise, sounds like plumbing", i passed it off as the toilet having a bad seal (which it actually did)


This operation will not be going with me to cali......it will be bigger and better. I'm hoping for a good size room next time that will have a bookshelf over the door.

Well, went to my buddy's house and forgot to get fresh batteries so i just barely got 2 pics. The Astro Boy is attempting to take over the whole cabinet lol....i mean she is massive. Her fan leafs are as big as my out door plants have been. During my arduous LST i knocked one of the smaller leafs off. I thought about taking a pic with it covering my face as it actually covered my whole head lol. Young grass hopper has some LST learning to do and i'm going out of town for the weekend.....


4 plants total, the Astor boy takes up over half the cabinet on her own.

19 days floweringA little bird stopped by this morning with some pics. He doesn't have a real good camera so bare with me. These are just some randome shots of 2 AK-47's, 1 Sweetooth #4, and Bertha......the huge Astro boy. I have light distribution problems because the bookshelf is longer than it is deep so i added a 125 watt CFL.....it was alot bigger than i thought it would be. Does a good job and now i have more blue light. Well thsi 39kb limit sucks ass and lowering the quality that much ruins the pics. I'll update when webby fixes that.

Most excellent GT. My old grow cabinet is long gone now, but in the future I plan on a 'room' such as you mentioned. What is it that makes us wanna go bigger?
