Unfortunatly one of our plants turned out to be an hermie and it pollinated the others so there will be seeds, but the bud still looks nice.
Very nice. Grow some of those new beans man. I had a hermie pollenate my first 'real' grow too and the offspring were not too bad. In fact they made some of the finest smoke I have ever had. Ya just never know...just watch out for more hermies. It can be done though.
Not 100% true. There is a good chance they might, but I found that not all of mine did. I got some real nice herb from my beans and others here on GK have grown them out. I haven't heard a lot about hermies popping up either. Ya just never know what you will find.
definetly something else. when you harvest your next crop leave one female under the light for an extra 2 to 3 weeks. this plant will be stressed into forming 2 maybe 3 male flowers. use those male flowers to pollinate a female that is about 3 weeks into flowering. since the plant was about 99.9% female the resulting seed will be 99.9% female. resulting in Feminized seed.
to get fem seeds,,,,,in the middle of flowering, pick one week. during this week every night period turn the lights on for a few min(or just open the door a min). this makes the plants freak out and think a natural catastrophe is happening. so it will produce a few male parts(here and there, not everywhere) to further the species(not the pods on a male but fluorescent yellow/green little pointed looking things with a slit on one side, in this slit is the pollen balls) youll know this by sight. by producing seeds with no males, the chromosones are female(x). thus producing female seeds. this is what happens when you have light leaks during flowering. ive also heard slightly higher temps during flower will cause this phenom also.if you get these by accident and do not want seeds, wet a q-tip and gently rub these male parts. pollen is suseptable to moisture and will die.
