Can I put pollinated female back with others?

This is maybe a dumb question. Can I take a male and female to another room in the house to pollinate (i need seeds) and then kill off the male and return her to the other non-pollinated females?

    Thanks

Rather new here, but I think others will tell you it would be better to let the male flower alone in another room, collect pollen with a Q-tip and brush it on some lower female flowers.

Erin, you did not read his question right.

Perro:D Si puedes hacer eso. Exactamente como tu dices. Como se llama el strain que estas qreciendo?

Of course you can do it M.Dope, but there is a risk of carrying unwanted pollen back to the females.

if you want the other females possibly pollenated you can, but to ensure that she flowers with out excess pollen, i wouljd flower her as far as possible from the other females, I have done this, and sometimes I find one or two seed brachts on seperate females, that were never proper fucked.

but again one or two seeds isnt so bad, since you want seeds, live and learn my friend, after you have done it, then you can just chalk it up as experience.

    good question.

These are Northern lights #5. I have always worried about the central air system and if it could carry pollen throughout. I will check out the FAQ for the hand pollination method because I would like to keep the other females "sinsimellia". Many thanks.

I have never done it however the way I understand it is pollinate them in the other room then once your sure she's polinated they say wait a few days then lightly rinse her with r/o water get the excess water off then return her to the room. My ? to you is unless your thinking about breeding new strains why not clone?

I tried cloning. With limited space its hard to get the timing right. I have my females on 12/12 and then I have my clones that, as I understand it, need to be under 24hr light. It sucks because my clones did real well . Do you think a central air conditioning system can spread pollen throughout the house?

Listen if you are going to pollinate the female in another room.

Wait a day or two and then put her back with the rest.

Are you planing on pollinating the whole plant or just a branch or bud?

I would like to just pollinate a few branches, however, I could afford to do the whole female. Does the q-tip gig really work? How do I know when the male has pollen. I would like to kill the bastard as soon as possible so it doesnt screw my other females.

Perro, when a male plant flowers the balls open up. All the pollen is stored inside the flower. So when they open the pollen can easily be blown out. Once your male flowers open you will see what im talking about. Be ready to collect the pollen. I would just pollinate one branch at the most. They develop a lot of seeds on just one bud or cola. Save some branches for sinsemilla.

    The q-tip method does work.
