Just a guess , too small a root space and PH issues?

I agree. You need to transplant them into bigger pots...3 gallons at the very minimum. Also check the ph. You can buy a ph tester at your local nursery for under $10.

You've stressed those plants to the point if they ever do make it long enough to throw bud it's probably going to hermie on you.Flush, transplant, check the PH and let em veg till they get good and healthy. Then try 12/12 maybe you'll get lucky.

    could you explain that jake?

you do need bigger pots. i use 2 1/4 gallon with NO problem. they also look hungry.

Yes , they're being strangled. They've most likely got PH lock out or have been over/under ferted to the point of killing the leaves off during veg( possibly burned from the miracle grow also). As stretched as they are, with being rootbound, and having a nute problem do you really think they will be happy high yielding females? What causes hermies? Genetics and stress. If those plants aren't stressed to the max right now I don't know what is. Hence the reason I said to before anything else get the problems straightened out and let them get healthy before 12/12. If he put them in 12/12 right now they'd either hermie or die. Do you disagree?

Man...PH is at 7? That was my first thought to the problem, but seems it's just good ol' fashioned Miracle Grow that's the problem here. :rolleyes2:

My guess is that you flushed the soil very well thus depleting it of any ferts and the plant is now having to take 'supplies' from the lower growth to maintain top growth. What's the top of the plant look like anyway? Could be they just need a good feeding with a proper fert.

Just a note for pot size. I have read that you should have about 1 gal pot size per foot of plant height. Now obviously that is prolly a rule of thumb. I doubt an indoor plant would need more than a 5 gal bucket if it's over 5 feet.

Looks to me like Nitrogen defficiency, and the roots are probably locked up and root bound...That soil looks way heavy, and it needs more perlite..But Most plants do have leaves at the bottoms die off cause they don't get alot of light.

Your plants leaves show N def and need a good shot of some good ferts....and not Miracle Grow.
