Quick question guys.. Is there any advantage to using a grow box versus an open room?

Besides stealth... Like reflectivity and the sort.

Is it better to use a grow box for a small number of plants or an open room?

Seems like an open room would be better to me.. but I just want to make sure I'm not overlooking something.

I had another question.. i just forgot what it was :eusa_shifty:

An open room will always be better. Easier to control environment

I think a grow box is a good idea too. If you can control the heat with good exhausting. Main reason is, cause ya get to compress all your light in a small space, say, 4 feet square, with white walls, you get a lot of reflectivity in such a small area, therefor you dont need such a big light either, i use a 250hps in a 4 foot square with great results.

A small grow box for starting seed out into veg state. Maybe sure

Far as flowering and major veg growing you need alot more space then you thank.

I'm growing in the corner of my kitchen and it's going great. They've been there since the day they poked their little heads above soil and haven't moved since. Their about 2 feet away from a window so I have a fan blowing on them and a window fan exhausting the air outside. I have floro's all around them,2 on one side, 2 on the other side, and 5 on top until my 400 watt HPS arrives. The only problem I've ever had was nute lockout but that's my own dumb fault.

    I guess its personal opinion.

I want to be able to walk next to my plants.. But a box has a lot of up-sides:

Controlling the temp would be easier.. Controlling pests also would be easier. If you have an open room exhausted from/to outside, you can suck a lot of pests and what not into your grow area. With a box exhausted into a room, there is a less likely chance (I'm guessing here:icon_confused: ) that would suck some unwanted pests in there.

Box does have its stealth too..

I guess its just whatever you want.

Anybody got some good box pictures I can take a peep at? :qbluewacko:

Controling temps are harder in an enclosed space:icon_confused:

LOL...I was gonna say the exact thing about a box. I think it's a matter of preference really. I wouldn't say one is better than another as they are in a sense the same thing on different scales.
