thought i'd get a cabinet i have ready for vegging once i cut the big lights back to flower. but i had bought several individual fixutres to wire together to consentrate the cfl's. the an idea hit me. i suddenly remembered a work light i'd seen that just a simple socket that would plug directly into the wall. was looking round wal-mart and found them like 1.36 each. a power strip and some elect or duct tape and i had a fixture that would hold 3 cfl's in a 10 inch area. found a pack of 3 bulbs 26w each for 6.59. i had a 78 watt fixture for around 12 bucks. they even had some 42w that would fit 3 but they're 7 bucks each so i went with the 26. just and idea:sign13: peace, CG
I really do not thank that will work. But prove me wrong. You need atleast a 600 watter in all. I seen a cfl setup in small space 2 staged. It had same light wattages and there was 9 of those bulbs not 2 or 3.
let me gues your veg area is going to be rather small huh? well if that's the case you need to just save up, and get you one of the flourex fixtures or some econolights to go in there.. I hear the 105 -125 watter put out between10k-12k lumens and that's plenty for a small veg cab.. not to mention they are full spectrum bulbs that are perfect for growing mj..I am going to invest in one or two soon..and i think they are like 25-30$ a piece. you are thinking cheap bor, you should look up econolights online and invest in some.. for a small veg cab they are the shit...and don't put out a lot of heat..
oh no, that fixture just feeds the very end of the area. i also have 4 @ 42watts in the same area thats about 2' x 3'. totaling 246 or so watts. it's justs an early vegging area till i put um under the big lights. the fixture was just a way to consentrate some watts on one end. i know 3 bulbs @ only 23 w each ain't shit for a very large area. but like mentioned it will hold the 42w bulbs. peace, CG
