My grow light system has two lights in it 1 MH and 1 HPS and my ballast has 2 plugs in it to plug in each of the bulbs.

So my ? is does it matter which way I plug the bulbs into the ballast or can I plug the bulbs into the ballast in either one?:icon_confused:

Did the ballast come with a manual? I would think that its desighned to take either plug. Plug it in and see what happens, any strange noises or sparks unplug right away.

I did not get a manual with the light. I was thinking the same thing to plus if it was important to plug it in to the right one they would label the plugs and cord. They look identical as far as the plugs go.

I would plug them on the right light. I mean why would they have 2 plugs if you could use one for both? There is a reason for having two plugs for different HID lamps although they are the same wattage.

Yeah, pluggung the wrong light into the wrong ballast would be a bad thing man...I would call the manufacturer and ask about that.

I just read in another thread that if you have a digital ballast that it should work for either HPS or MH. I don't know from experience though. Like I said, I just happened to read that and thought I'd let you know.
