"The Yuba River is an important river in California and a major tributary of the Feather River, which is a tributary of the Sacramento River. The river begins as three separate forks, the north, south and middle, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The north fork begins at Yuba Pass and flows into the New Bullards Bar Reservoir, which is formed by New Bullards Bar Dam. The middle fork begins at Jackson Meadows Reservoir, which is formed by Jackson Meadows Dam, and joins the north fork just downstream of the New Bullards Bar Dam. A tunnel is used to divert water from the middle fork to New Bullards Bar Reservoir. The south fork begins at Lake Spaulding, which is formed by Spaulding Dam, and joins the other forks at Englebright Reservoir, which is formed by Englebright Dam. The Yuba River meets the Feather River near Yuba City."

I'm assuming he means a day at the river......

    Yeah it's a protected river.

Pristine is what I'd call it..

Water so clean you go home knowing what all the other rivers should look like.

I've been up at the area by Grass Valley/Nevada city

    It's nice.

There is hiking back up the river and many secluded spots.

Nude sun bathing all up and down.

    Toking is way cool.

I used to come here more for social reasons than for growing advice, but I find myself getting most of my social activity on Facebook these days.

It's a lot busier. That's understandable this being a speciality site, I guess. Another thing is that it's easier to upload personal pics onto fb. To put them on here I need to upload them into a photobucket account first. Just that extra step makes it seem like work and puts me off. I have some cool albums on my personal (non gk) fb page and enjoy sharing them, but haven't uploaded them here because of the extra hassle.

    My thoughts on things atm.

Its changed days. Forums are dying left right and centre. Take a look around at other similar sized forums to ours like MarijuanaPassion etc. They all struggling....but they have an edge in the fact they can tweak things here and there that we cant. We do what we do. Social Media NEEDS to be our edge cos i dont see where we can sharpen up anywhere else? TBH the forums only gonna be what the members make it. Mods can post new content all day long but if theirs no response then its futile. Our twitter has several hundred followers who retweet our posts regular. Our new Blog has gained a hundred or so followers in under a week and our Facebook even has a few more likes. Which kinda proves my point.

I could bump 50 threads that explain the decline here and about 30 odd of them bumps would be threads highlighting new guys getting pressurized to post pictures almost as if we are like "Prove your a grower". Lots of people dont feel comfortable posting pictures the second they join a forum and i really feel we should back of a bit in that regard. Iv ben reading a lot of old threads recently and although this place is quieter than yesteryear... its also less drama. Maybe when the drama died so did the enthusiasm for posting:ponder:

This is you MJ hangout, your forum. It'll do as good or as shite as you make it. Its not like we havent had consultations with the members over and over and over.Even the other week we highlighted the GK Suggestion box,its still lying empty. We brought forth the store idea but thats not really being used either. Even the excellent work PD does with BoTM gets soured by lack of entries. As a mod team we ARE trying to keep fresh content on the forum aswell as social media. Iv recently changed things so that the mod team can now fully focus onthe forum and social media can be done by those who enjoy doing it.Our social media is succesful to a point but not with our members and the people who do use it seem to only wanna use social media and not forums. Every idea we ever come up with gets ignored for the most part. To survive this place needs members simply. The hope is that these members will come slowly but surely from social media. But once their in the forum door they need to SEE a community to be part off. That means fresh threads, posts etc. So basically its up to our Members to CONTRIBUTE to the groth of GK. Shout out to Rasganjah for some strain reviews hes done on our Blog,to Lion for doing the blog and to Hank for offering to contribute to our social media too. All members. Lead the way guys:bongin:
