What's the best way's from you all for the people that dnt have a pH balanced medium, to keep your own PH under control, wthout having a controlled PH balanced Medium's???

ALL suggestions will be considered very interesting method's for PH balance/ correction ect ect....

    Ty in advance....

    Peace,

    Cool Cool my man..... But....

I was more wanting an incline into what you all do,For example, "to keep PH the way ya all want it", and "iff needs to be Canged/Altered at all".....(How are you all going about it and in what???) :) :punk:

So, iff the products you use to control it, could be listed...Then that would be Magnificent, and ANY other relevent information that will give good info.... toward this thread on... "YOUR OWN CONTROLLING PH METHOD'S"!!!

"Any info bassically on what one uses to control, and methods that each and everyone uses to do so, to their OWN grow and whatever they grow in too"!!!

Peace n Ty in advance to all who will reply to this Could be VERY helpfull thread!!!

juniorman8 Say it with me... Ahhhhhh

    Hey UBB!

I use tap water and Fox Farm nutes in my hydro set up. If my pH needs adjusting I use PRO pH DOWN. Works fine for me.

Bud Greenright In the garden, you?

Remember that the genetics of the strain is important to consider when PH is concerned. Some strains can't take alot of PH embalance without comeing out all runted and sad looking, while some can take what ever you give them and grow fine.

To get my optimal ph I use organic soil, Ocean forest by Fox Farms. Perlite and purified water from the local grocery store. I never feed full strenghth or with solid feeder fertilizers. Liquids at half strength and then raise as needed.

A plant with optimall ph will be healthy and green not too dark green but a nice lite green but not too lite green.:icon_confused: It will grow every day when it has light air and water.

i myself use a mix of 70% foxfarms ocean forest, 30% foxfarms warrior and feed with half strength advanced nutrients. i adjust the ph to about 6.3-6.5 and raise the ppm of my nute mix about 100 ppm each week feeding twice a week and watering in between feedings. if my ph is low, i raise the ph of my nute mix to 7.0. if my ph is too high, (from overfeeding,) ill flush my plants, and use a ph of 5.5-5.8 in my nute mix.

i learned i had to check the ph of my soil frequently as under/over feeding has been proven to lower/raise the ph of my soil.

i use botanicare ph up and ph down. this shits strong! three drops of ph up with an eyedropper is often enough to raise ph one point in a five gallon jug of water giving you more bang for your buck.

    Exellent answers peeps.....

But....lmao, im starting this thread to Obviousely see myself about differing methods of PH balance to embalance, but this is mainly for in general purposes for any people with PH problems.

You may or may not want to consider it as a sticky ect ect, this IS for me, but im kinda doing this for everybody, as a kinda sharing info thread, on HOW YOU ALL KEEP YOUR PH GOOD...:punk:

Its just so all, or if anyone that isnt sure about it, can go look back on this thread n check out different ways to go about CONTROLLING their "own" PH balance iff NOT using any top mediums, as in Oceans' forrest or ANY canna soil for example... (Which are all ORGANIC and PH controlled from the get go!!!) or any method's you all suggest or mention of Controlling PH what so ever, that all come from different people, to come hear and explain on here how you all keep these things under wrapps!!!:sign13: :punk: :)

Thanks for all the interesting n wonderfull replies so far people, looking really good as up to now anyway....

    Keep it up people,

on the ph thing, just tried vinagar, was a huge mistake! dont over do it, like I did, had to do an emergency transplant and wash roots with a little nip tuck on my babies this morning. My wife laughed the whole time cause she said I was using to much last night. Start off slow, damn I hate when shes right. :)

For me.. I grow in Rockwool and use General Hydropics nutrients. A PH of 5.5 to 5.8 is ideal for hydropics. For a long time, when preping my rockwool for a new crop.. I was soaking them in a nutrient solution at 1/2 strength. I was always having PH problems.. within about 4 days (when plants start to flower).. it would go from 5.8 to 5.1 or lower. Now to help with this problem.. I soak my slabs with water only.. with a PH of 5.5.. drain after a day.. then soak again with water only at a PH of 5.5. Soaking with water instead of a water/solution mix eems to help stabilize the PH more. Your solution PH will always drop a little when the start to flower.. a good indicator when to switch your solution to suit flowering. My tap water is around 7.1 so I use Olivia's PH down to lower. Also, digital PH/PPM meters sure make things a whole lot easier for hydroponic growers. Remember to calibrate regularly. I also comletely drain my resevoir about once a week then refill. When filling my res.. I use a 3 gallon bucket and measure the PH and PPM before adding it to my resevoir. There is alot of different mnfgs of solution and PH adjusters.. but they wont do any good of you dont stay on top of it! I used to let it go without putting a meter in my resevoir for a week.. doing that have really hurt some of my crops. letting your PH go down to 5.0 for a week will turn your your leaves yellow and stunt growth.. what happens is.. they really cant recover from this before you harvest. you may still end up with bud.. but you wont end up with what you should.. STAY ON TOP OF YOUR PH!! Can't get lazy and think it is just automatic. Check every day or every other day. Hopefully this will help someone as I have learned from trial and error over the years.

:XXsunsmile:Brilliant people, exellent resultys in the differentiating of the methods used by others....Great start to this thread:punk: , and i HOPE it can stay open for a while and maybee, get this up a a sticky...lol, ya never know!

SAll fantastic information on you "own" techniques and methods and general what you all use and how, and in what....GREAT INFO all.....:punk:

Apprectiated and this should HELP out alot of newer growers and even more experienced ones too, just to, "if needs be", to try out a different method on a different strain that someone was talking about, This "blah blah" product HELPED them with that "particular strain", You get me all?:pimp:

Exellent responces, and i myself aswel(I hope) as other's, hope for a good while yet, this can be a place to share these type of problems and problem solving's (As in, share all the many many ways to overcome your crop being ruined by PH embalance's!!!):punk:

Thanks all people for all contributions, and even iff your status changes over ANY period of time in what/how/why you use something different now, please do NOT Hesitate to come and share this Information with us all....:icon_thumright: "We'd LOVE to hear about it"...... :)

Never check my ph, i dont need to!

Iv never had to check my ph levels EVER,using an organic medium and organic nutes with water(scottish water is chemical free, practically, comes straight down the mountains).....

Iv got a ph meter but rarely have i had to use it and iv NEVER had to adjust ph levels,i know that may sound ignorant coming from an experienced grower but even the guys in the hydro store told me my organic medium and nutes with good old scottish water wil keep my ph at an optimum level.

Although i hear ppl use lemon juice to adjust ph...and vinegar? Maybe our organics specialist Randy might have some good organic ph tips:ponder: Q Randy>>>>

:punk: FANTASTIC results coming along nicely my friends, all of ya's!!! :)

Anyway, im learning, yous hopefully are learning, we all are sharing our differentiating PH balancing methods and it seems to be coming along Great to be totally honest to ya all.... :) :punk: Its a good > :sign13: (sign)

Anyway please keep em coming people so we can gather as much information on this particular subject, so we can try n "RID" away any unwanted PH problems once and forall, by just checking in this thread and knowing what you need to do, and in what way, and for what strain!!!

Briliant people, bring it on more now, dont hold back.... :) :punk:

Balancing PH level's 101 for HYDRO n SOIL!!!PH Balance/embalancement!!! Here are a couple of CHARTS bellonging to the PH Scale for HYDROPONIC users of growing, to SOIL/ORGANIC growing Methods!!! These are the MOST commonly "used" and MOST "stood by" giudleines and HELP, to be "set-by", by almost all ORGANIC and HYDRO growers From all over the World... CHART'S: VERY usefull/Accurate Information on PH Balance, for All"GROWERS" all around the WORLD... This will also HELP "one" control their Deficiency problems iff needs be too, as there is a very accurate piece of "CHART information" on there, for BOTH, PH and DEFICIENCIES too, of all kinds!!!(Very helpfull information, for all who desire to know how to fix a defficient plant or an embalenced PH plant!!!)
