I vegged my plants for 45 days and I think back about all the nuts, light, time etc... wasted on growing males for this long. I didn't know that typically males are the taller plants. So, keep this in mind when your growing. Take the time to veg shorter sex your plant then clone. No reason to grow 3 ft plus males. Won't do that again.
lol,, weve all done that bro, only way out is cloning. this isnt a good method on all strains, but you can switchg the lights early in veg, for about 5 days or so,, then switch back to determine sex,, but some strains dont take this very well,, another thing,, is take cutting off the plants,, and flower them till they show sex,,, then you know which plants are m or f, b4 you veg for that long,, just my 2 cents man,, good luck..
I had 7 plants so far my top 3 37", 25", 22" showed they sex the 2 weeks in. The taller two 37", and 25" males. The female always had a more lushes look to it. It's looking like it's going to be one to six males thou.

This is not entirely true. You can't determine sex by how tall a plant is. You still need to determine sex by cutting the light hours. Otherwise you have to wait for pre-flowers which is where you are now.
I've successfully grown up to flowering/sexing 4 times now. My seeds/strain/geno are the same and when it's all said and done my males have always been the better veggers. Now, there is "no always", but my trend is males bigger/taller I just read this about a week ago on forum and realized this to be true in my world.
taller males are typical ,, ive found,, but its not enough bro,, you need to switch light,, or even preflower will do when you have enough experience. theres no substitute for your own experience bro.. i usually wait till i switch the lights even now.. males are why i dont like planting, rather clone,, but very hard to try new strains that way,lol been lucky this time,, wanted to try bubba kush,, a friend mailed me 3 cuts,, i have them rooted and growing nicely,, pics will come soon...
Taking a stab @ gender identification Yeah, it isn't 100%......but in my experiences, the males tend to be the taller ones. I've got some Aurora Indicas vegging ATM, and one of them is noticably taller than the rest. Take clones as soon as you can, put them in 12/12. Mark which are which, then you'll know who's who in about 10 days.
MAle to FEmale! lol, people, like was said by the ones telling about the lighting switch, that is alllll very very TRUE ideed. And as for the pre-flower's, in all plants, they always vary, no matter the sex, always very, so pre-flowering can also be missleading at times too, imo, and im sure in alor of others opinions too! But the ONLY TRUE WAY to sex out a plant, "IS" to 12/12 them , or anything bellow 14 hours of light will do to sex a plant out to ints gender! Even iff its a GENDER BENDER! lol:laughing5: :laughing5: :laughing5: Anyway, alway's 12/12 em my good friend, its the ONLY true way to be TOTALLY sure!
