my brother started growing this plant in really small pott and i put it in a bigger pott and used peat as the soil and all of a sudden its gone all dodge and the leaves started drooping i thaught it was water so i watered + fertilised by the end of the day it perked back up but the next day the leaves drooped again and the leaves started getting black bits at the end and the pong of the plant went rite down the leaves rite at the bottom are ok but the really small buds are green but the large ones are really drooping? please help!!
now "peat" is really heavy with poor drainage. "peat moss" is about the oppisite,, if peat youll need to use perilite and things thatll lighten the soil so the roots will get co2 and oxygen,, if the moss,, maybe the water is just running right through and its too dry.. good soil mixtures are very important,, i use pro mix,, mainly cause my back is screwed and i cant mix my own,, im sure there is great mixes in the faq,, if not,, pm me,, ill hunt down some mixes posted by friends of mine and submit them in faq,, good luck most of the time drooping plants are water or heat issues,, so as long as no heat issues,, look toward drainage and things like that,imo... welcome to GK
What did you fertilize with? You either need to buy a ready-made soil mix or make your own. I use organic soil made of composted bark and stuff as a base, then mix in bat guano, worm castings, alfalfa meal, perlite and dolomite lime.
