i've got my seeds germing for my first grow, and bought some fox farms ocean forest.do any of you guys know if that alone will be sufficient or do you suggest mixing vermiculite in with it?i think i've read that it's a pretty good soil to start with but i'd love your input.

perlite and vermiculite for me are essentials to my organic medium.

Yeah i usually buy a similar product of organic soil from bio-bizz but i still ad some perlite(for water) and vermiculite(for nutes) and along with the feeding schedules it works great for me.Are you using all fox farm nutes? If so iv got feeding charts,in fact i think iv got a thread in the FAQS about feeding schedules for f/f.Cheers:smokin:

i use ffof 70%, an fflw 30%. some people would say to add extra perlite, or extra womrm castings, but i dont add anything extra. if you had to you could go 1 mo. veg., an 2 mo. bloom without even adding any additional nutes.

MY last grow. I used 1 bag of fox farm 1 bag of perlite. Seems to me that the plants dried out too fast compared to when i used straight fox farm. My watering scedule was messed up. I should have been watering more often.
