I have been contemplating the best way to obtain seeds. I am super paranoid about ordering online or mail order, but it seems alot of people have had success. My main goal is getting them safely. I thought about traveling and bringing some back, but that is a major pain. So, going with the online method, I have read some people using a PO Box. Can you obtain one and still maintain your anonymity? I was looking at the application, and, even though you can use false information, don't they check to see if your legit? Don't they ask for I.D. or something to prove you are who you say you are? :icon_confused: If not, I will go that route. Otherwise, having them mailed to a different address other than the grow house, I would have to give my name, so the place they are delivered to would know who the mail was for. Anyone thought about this and come up with some good solutions? Thanks in advance.
get those beans going!! You don't necessarilly have to use your real name do you? Find a trusted friend and have the seeds delivered to his house. Example: uberbud c/o My Trusted Friend Anytown, USA 42001 I have my beans sent to my good friends house using my Mr Douglas handle. I hear you, but there may be questions attached to the request to have something sent to a friends house. I don't want to tell anyone. I know i can send it to a close relative with a business name on it. That is prob one solution to having sent to someone. I would really like to explore the PO Box idea. Anyone with experience in using one anonymously? I prefer nobody having any reason to wonder why I am getting mail at another address when I have my own. Thanks for the input MD.
The post office wanted an ID and current address from me. That kinda defeats the whole purpose so I've had them sent to my house under my name twice now. Once with the doc and once from cannabean. 100% NO grow going on at these times. Chewed my fingernails for seven days and then the "package" arrived. Get real good at cloning so you don't have to order very often. Just my opinion.
If you buy from doc, i don't think you should worrie. As long as your not sending a few hundred seeds to your house, or plan on growing a lot of plants you will be fine. Just send it to a name similar to you. And as far as buying it don't send money order cuz those get lost. Go to the bank and get one of those disposable debit "gift cards" they work everywhere online, and are 100% untraceable. plus if they do get caught and u get something from who ever, since you used a debit gift card that you burned up after use, you can just say there is no proof of me buying them, and that you can't control the mail that gets sent to you. easy. don't worry. I bought some seeds from seedsdirect, I think, a few years ago...came package somewhat discreetly, they sent me a labeled package of White Widow and a free pack of skunk seeds for like $50, also purchased seeds from a company that put the seeds inside the lining of the cardboard package, they even put a blank floppy disk in it for show... Great advice from previous posters!!
Thanks guys. I guess it is time to get some Cojones and just get them sent to someones home. This is going to sound like a stupid question, but if it is not a good idea to have them sent to a grow house, how is it any better to have them sent anywhere? If the person that lives at the place the beans are sent to gets pinched won't there be some way to trace it to you regardless? I will work on the premise that if there is a problem the beans won't get to the house. After they have arrived what are the chances that anything could happen? Also, do seed bank destroy all information after the transaction is complete? Thanks again.
if there is no record of you two talking (ie no phone taps, or other "evidence") or of your friends intent to give you the package, your are unrelated to their investigation, and if he gets pinched (which he probably won't) its very easy to deny in that situation, because you can't control what gets mailed to you right, so if he is briefed on how to act if (IF) the cops find out about it, you should be pretty much in the clear. Hell may be charged with posession, and they may watch his house if they really have no other crime to stop, but if hes not growing there, the cops dont see a thing, and you are just another person in your city, nothing special to the cops (which is VERY necessary)
Back to the topic about PO Boxes you will need a current ID and a Physical Address Its no better to use a PO BOx than to use a house address Good Luck with your order.. Order from seeds direct..or any affiliated seed banks with this site. You'll be fine...Its more important to keep your mouth shut locally, dont tell anyone, not even your bestest friend with the promise of not telling anyone...keep it to yourself no matter how hard it is, 1 man operations willl last a lot longer, trust me...based on the extra care in just buying seeds...Id assume you are already very discreet. As long as you are not running a huge operation, and your discreet, you will be fine!!
Okay. I will be making some decisions on seeds. I figure since it's my first grow it will be appropriate to not spend hundreds of dollars. I was wondering about the seed companies if they destroy all records. Such as: address and that the order ever took place. I know some companies, like Mark Emery's, claime to pay taxes on their sales. I think I heard that when they closed him down they had all records of his customers. That is a bit disconcerting. maannnn between me and my professional athlete friends we must have ordered tens of thousands of dollars of stuff that isnt legal here in the states. although weve had confiscations, no ones ever been busted for anything. im talkin about thousand dollar orders being seized here, and still no one has ever been questioned by any authority. trust me, youre not gonna be in any trouble over some seeds. if anyone wants to know the ABSOLUTE SAFEST method to ordering stuff online feel free to pm me! if a mod wants me to explain in great detail how this sort of thing is done by the pros so it can be made into a sticky, pm me! this is only my third grow, but this aint my first rodeo.
