How is it I always end up here?...lol...:eusa_shifty:

For anyone who has been following my badmouthing the FF soil, I don't mean to do it, but.....wouldn't this make you suspicious, as well?......:icon_confused:

Both the exact same age, exact same lights, even watered on the exact same days....only difference is one is in the a blend of FF OF + perlite, and the other is in my normal mix.:love4:

I'll give you ONE guess which one is which. :scream:

Guys, :scream: I have been having problem after problem with the FF stuff. I think I may have gotten a bad bag or something.:icon_confused: I have been trying to tweak it to no avail. I have been feeding in my mix with the FF nutes, so I do think the nutes may be pretty good stuff, but I've seriously had enough with the soil. I really did try,:) just wanted ya'll to know......lol!:)

    Kicked it to the curb.....

Lol, maybe the flower garden will like it. Goin' in the compost pile, it is....:5headache:

But I also thought I'd better add....This wasn't just a 1-1 ratio....I have several sick looking babes, and um....on account of not needing to disclose numbers, several very healthy ones..... So, yeah, sorry to peter out on ya,:5headache: Fox Farms, but me no likey....lol:)

Hey, DB, ya posted as I was typing or something,..lol. :qbluewacko: I hate to badmouth it, and I'm positive it has given many growers great results,:smokin: but between the possibility of a bad batch or maybe just my growing style....It(the FF soil/nute regimen) does seem to need alot of close attention. I'm just not used to that, watching for deficiencies and whatnot. :icon_confused: I'd rather grab a cup of tea, water them, and watch 'em grow, lol! :)

Hmm well that makes me think you had potential lock out. You said you were feeeding both the same and only difference was the soil my guess is you never used up the nutes in the soil and added too much on top of it so the plant couldn't get what it needs. When I was using ocean forrest I wouldn't feed plants from 2-4 depending on the strain. So pretty much all of veg the plants would get just plain water untill they started to lighten up then I started feeding them. Never had a problem at all.

    Seee, exactly......

You guys can use it!....:pottytrain1: Not my style....I'll use the nutes, those are nice to have around....:smokin: I'm just used to my stuff (so are the kids...), and I'm not making anymore of my babies suffer because I'm playing with soil mixes....:icon_confused: ....I'll try it out on something a little less special, lol, maybe some tomatoes....tinker there:5headache: , fix it, and come back with a little more confidence in it. :)

    I must agree with Allsmilez...

I've only ever used 2 brands of soil. I was out looking for FF but when I finally found a store that had it in stock...the guy talked me into buying their brand.

    It's called Roots Organics.

Next time I needed soil they were out of the R.O. but had FF so I got that. Same FF nutes same strain (seeds from first grow). My second grow had multiple issues but I gotta say I'll never buy FF soil again.
New sprouts didn't like it, slow initial growth. The fan leaves were yellowing and dropping off at an alarming rate. I tried multiple things to fix the problems, playing with the N levels, Lime... I never got it corrected and by the time harvest came around I was down to like 6 fan leaves per plant. I did have one plant (of 5) that was from a different batch of bag seed, that didn't exhibit any of the symptoms described but even that plant didn't grow as well as others in the R.O. soil and root development was not at all impressive with the FF soil.

Third grow is best by FAR and I'm back to the Roots Organics.

I am willing to grant that my skill level may have been a factor... But I am also willing to be counted among those who will not be using FF Ocean Forest.

Couldn't leave you out on this limb by yourself...not like you need back-up:qbluewacko:

Word or do a hempy! I find it easier to keep plants healthy.

    Maybe......

:suave: Pretty fond of my plots of earth, lol,... but I have been checking out the hempy, the closest I would probably venture into hydro:confused: .....but in the meantime, nooooo more FF soil for me :pottytrain1: :)

Gratitude, Thank you,.....I was hoping I wasn't the only one.:icon_confused: I feel bad enough for knocking the FF; Like I said, I'm sure some are very happy with it. They wouldn't sell so much if it wasn't somewhat okay to someone:eusa_shifty: ......I like the sound of yours, Roots Organics, eh?Gonna check out where I can find some to try....Thanks! :)

Ooooh, I also slipped some Azomite in the mix this time:suave: ....That might have helped knock FF down just a little further...:love4: I'm in love...Azomite is the shit!:icon_confused: -sorry, it is! :)
