Ok..this might be the most ambigious question ever but here it goes. I have tried to germinate using the moist paper towel in a ziplock bag, a moist paper towle in a jar, and putting seed straight into moist soil (FF) all kept in warm places and have had zero luck.:scream:
Not sure if their is any suggestions. The only thing I have not done is put heating pad under the above mentioned methods. The first seeds I used were bag seeds ( I did not have high hopes for them) However the latest seeds are the freebies from my seedbotique order. Any other ideas? thanks B4E

    That sucks..

How long did you have them in there?

Yeah, go ahead and try the moist paper towel in tupperware, and set on a heating pad, or an appliance that emits warmth.

I usually set mine atop the stove. (the pilot light is enough to keep it warm)

    Good luck!

I use the paper towel and ziploc bag method but instead of the heating pad I took a small cardboard box and cut a vent into it and pushed it up against a heater vent. It worked perfectly!! %90. The box also keeps light out.

    Old seeds?

Thay can take a liitle while to sprout.....:suave: I personally soak them in a cup of water overnight, then plant into slightly moistened seed starting soil, and put them in a dome until they sprout.... :) I've only had a few that didn't germ, and I think they were old seeds:5headache: .....But sometimes I do put them on the dryer(heating pad...lol) and it helps for the hard ones....:qbluewacko:

Or, you could "score" the seeds...just take some sandpaper and rub it a little.....sometimes they have really hard shells and moisture can't get in. :)

Thanks all. This most recent batch has been in the air tight jar for five days. the most I have left them is 7days in jar and two weeks in moist soil. I think I will try the cardboard box method. I cant afford to waist any more seeds.

Soak them in water for 24hrs and then plant. 100% germ with good seeds. Get the soil moist and keep it moist a little.

I like this. I did some paper towel trials and found it to be high maintenance with minimal return. My first and only grow I did overnight soak directly to soil and got 4 out of 4. Beginners luck?.....maybe. But it worked for me and I didn't have to worry about my partner handling the seeds.

Nope, not beginners luck. Like Smilez and Choker said it's just the simplest way to do it. The less variables you have and the least handling of the seeds the better off you are. Don't mess with papertowels and plastic bags and all kinds of crap. Soak 'em and plant 'em. Done. Every bit as effective as any other method. MJ seeds are seeds like thousands of other seeds out there. They don't need some special trick to grow. Weed grew for many years all on it's own before anyone ever started to cultivate it. There was never a plastic bag and paper towel Fairy that kept 'em going till we figured out we could smoke it. Moisture and warmth is all a seed needs to trigger it to germinate.
