i have some i just got in,but i'm a couple of months away from being able to use them.anybody know how long they'll store for ,should i keep them in a cool dry place or let them dry out until i'm ready to use them? thanks
I always keep mine in a zip-top baggie (gallon) and have used them 7-8 months after purchase. I imagine they could grow mold, but I have had no probs so far...
yeah I do the same thing, the zip lock bag and then I put them in a coffee can with the lid. I have some that I got last september and they are still good. Now I have had some that I am starting lupine in, and they have turned green on top, but that is because they are in the window using solar power, and have been sitting there for a while. did you know lupine seeds looks just like weed seeds? I was stunned, thought I had a sack of weed seeds for a moment.:eusa_shifty:
i never kept mine sealed or anything and i never had a problem with, but it prolly wouldn't be a bad idea though just too keep the bugs and dirt and dust out of 'em.
If your talking about those little pucks that you soak in water, than I put mine in a zip lock bag and toss them in the freezer with all my seeds that I didn't use this yr. my 2 cents.
I just bought some yesterday 50 of them they came in a zip lock bag & they are moist already. It doesn't say how long they last just said to re-hydrate before useing .-Bud
ive had RR's stored for close to a year before in a ziplock bag. no probs whatsoever! on the other side of the coin, my hydroshop jus gave me a couple cloning trays with rapid rooters in them, but the plastic wrapping had been torn an the RR's were all dried out. my hydro shop said to jus rehydrate the RR's, an clone as usual.
so the consensus is,i should be fine for at least a year, and keeping them sealed is probably best.thanks everyone, hygrade
