Today was not a good day for any grower! I get back from a trip to see my brother and sister in law in Maine and my mother calls to see if she could pick up my daughter for the night.So she shows up and goes inside and plays with the kids,So I go outside to see my ladies after 4 days of not being there.When I opened my cabnit it was 115 degrees in there and my plants where not looking good so I left the cabnit open and the door to the shed opened about 4" then went inside.After 20 minutes my Mom and daughter leave,......or so I thought ALL of a sudden my mother walks in to the house with all TEN of my girls ripped from the roots and TORN TO PIECES.She goes on to say that is not a responsible thing for a parent to be doing and you should be ashamed of yourself.(She saw the light coming from the shed and went to see what it was before she left and saw my cabnit in all of its glory Don't worry my daughter was in the car and did not see or hear a thing)..I do feel very Mad at the fact that she went in my $@%& but on the other hand She is right in some way ??????? Either way Time to upgrade I just Purchased A Lumatek 600 Watt electronic Ballast,24" Reflector,Inline Fan w/ Can Filter,Hortilux Super HPS/Metal halide Bulbs,And a NEW BOX In a new location Just in case an unexpected meeting between your Mom to Ladies HAPPENS!!!!!!!! Wow....sorry to hear that about your girlies. Kinda not cool being it is your house but yah parents can be that way but still she should have not ripped them out. If she wanted to vent to you how she did not feel it was right....that is one thing but to do that...ughhh I feel for ya. ZEP...i have two boys in my family ones nearl5 next motnh and my only son callum turned one year old yesterday(sunday) and i had to stop growing for a bit purely cos of the baby...BUT im from the school of thought that as long as ppl are responsible,not harming any neighbours or themselves or family members then what a person does in the privacy of their own property should be their business and no-one elses... i remember reding an early archive thread in smokers from webmaster and this was one of his biggest(from what he wrote) ideals...that every citizen has the right to do as they please behind closed doors on your own proerty as long as no one is harmed in any way... Im not saying if theirs an ice factory in a hut half a mile from the house thats in no danger of blowing up the house is cool or nothin but regarding weed,i see growing weed as just like ppl who have whiskey and wine cellars or ppll who make their own home brew of beer,etc... its all made from hops and barley,etc and our weed is hemp which is a one of a kind weed/plant that nature gave u and th govt took away from us...your grow dont sound as if it was in harms way so if i were you id be telling my mum,look you should have sopke to me 1st cos you could have gave them away or sold them to someone,:5headache: she had no right to do that... ...my mum and dad know when they visit my home that the semll in the air is weed and the bright orange lights emitting from my closets are grow rooms,they say they would rather i grew my own than do what i used to do which was sell hash and weed(mainly hash) amongst other shit,the way they see it theres more chance me getting arrested picking finally caught this thread. That would suck. My mom is 78 my dad 84, and they would never do that to my girls. We have had issues about weed since 1976, but they would never think of violating my house. My dad did take a sledge hammer and bashed the snot out of a bong I had, but was in '82. I was 22 living in their house, smoking. I sort of asked him to get pissed I think. Anyway, he was much younger then and could pitch a fit. Now he would fall down. Glad you are super stealth, but man your momma needs slowed down some. What's not to say she won't feel compelled to look again?
Some of you obviously have a better relationship with your folks than I do!! You guys still have respect for them, while I never have.......'course that would be a mutual lack of respect!! Here I am 50 yrs old & I still have issues with my Mom! Dad passed away several years ago, back then I told him that I forgave him, but I still had some problems, it just didn't seem to matter since he was dying, and now I really have been able to forgive him. Now, my mother is another story!! If she had done what your Mom did.......OMFG!!!! I would have gone ballistic!!! She would've been out of my life permanently after such a huge 'Drama Queen Tantrum'!! (not referring to your mom, just mine....mine's a huge drama whore!...she behaves like that ALL the time...over nothing!) As it is, I have very little to do with my mother! Ever since I was 15, I've lived as far away from her as I could get!!! I suppose your mom feels like she had a point to make, but DAMN!! Pretty harsh reaction!! Perhaps she could have just come into your house and screamed at you to get rid of those plants yourself, instead of ripping them out in a fit of anger! Parents....what ya gonna do??!!! Girls Ripped Out Zep thats a terrible thing to have happen. I hope this is a lesson learned, never let your guard down, anyone can bust you!!! I had a close call my self just last month our insurance company sent us a letter saying they wanted to take pictures of our electrical and plumbing systems. Well my cabinet is in the garage with the breaker box and I'm in the middle of flowering. I don't have any oder control. The next day after the picture session I came home from work and there was two cop cars in the neighbors driveway man was I shitting my self I almost pulled the girls right then and there. The wife talked to them the next day and they said the heard gun shots out back in the woods. It was all by chance. and very creepy. Cant wait to see the new setup.
