Anyone ever use their own non-prepaid CC at a hydro store? I was high as shit need something at the hydro store and saw something eles and did not have the cash on me for the second item. I said f it cause i was pressed for time and plus I was high as shit. I used my own CC at the store, did I screw up? anyone trust the local hydro store? I mean I don't think the fuzz can get a warrent just for buying goods. And I don't think they would "watch" me beacuse I spent 20 bucks their. But thought I would ask. Has anyone had any problems while shopping at their local store?
Yes I've done it... I think that ppl like you and me don't really have to worry about it, meaning small scale growers. I usually try and bring cash but I had a $95 purchase on my card once. If you were to buy enough equipment to outfit a grow house I'd be worried. Don't sweat it. Grat
I like to use cash but I have used my CC before. Plus I use my cc online & ebay all the time. It's not against the law to sell or use growing supplys.-Bud
I use my CC for everything. You are not comitting a crime therefore the cops have no interest in hydro shops. Its all legal. Even if they did get your name from a shops records they would still need evidence to bust you. If you aint selling, stinking up the street and generally behaving nicely i wouldnt worry.
I've done it many times. Bought some buckets, nutes, hydroton, air pumps, lots of things when I was getting started. Last time I checked all of that stuff is perfectly legal to purchase and own. I've also used my CC at head shops too to buy bongs-n-stuff too. Just the fact that you have most likely never heard of anybody getting busted through way of a credit card purchase at a hydro shop should let ya know that it will be ok. That's the great thing about the internet. That kind of news would spread like wildfire through all the various message boards. Don't sweat it.

'Ditto; I use it in my local store all the time. It's like Walmart in there these days, anyways. And like what was said by Gratis, I think most folks are not under the scope. I don't think its "in," this year to bust little grows, anyways. I think the fad seems to be for middle aged cops, to go online and act like kids, to lure OTHER middle aged men into trouble. I'm not sure which person is the sickest? but most of us have nothing to fear from either perile, I hope :eusa_shifty:
Yah, one thing we tend to forget about hydro shops: There are people out growing things BESIDES weed. Crazy, I know, but all those peeps who do roses for show, other flowers for shops, veggies and the like, they get their supplies like anyone else..... I've used my CC at the head-shop as well, again mostly legal, though if they've gotten to the point where they are looking up my CC records, I am probably already fucked. Good Luck!
Not quite right I'm afraid... Skuzzi - While you essentially echoed my sentiment with stronger wording, I did want to mention that cops DO watch hydro shops as parts of their investigations, sometimes it's the Shop that's being investigated. We had story in the paper about a pretty big bust nearby about year ago when that's what was going on. The shop was providing full service grow house setup including equipment and clones on credit and a hook up with a real estate agent who was getting them $0 down payment loans on $500K houses that were paid off in a year. There was a quote in the article from the local MJ defense lawyer who said that they (mainly Vietnamese-Canadians) didn't know what all US growers do...never go from the shop to your op. So be smart. Consider your scale. And go to stores that seem like they would attract hobby orchid growers. There's one shop in my town that's SO sketchy...it's in a house that looks like it's about to fall apart in a bad spot on the side of a busy road...the signs are hand painted and just last week a sign went up saying that they are tearing down the building...I'd never go there! I go to one in an middle-class neighborhood where ppl are all about plants! It's clean, well lit, professional signs etc... I've seen little old ladies shopping there too! I'm stoned btw. Yeah point taken. If the guy in the shop offers to set you up a cannabis grow room and offers you clones free of charge dont give him your CC, he'll probs clone it!!!!!! If you see lots of Vietnamese hanging around make sure they dont know your growing as they will come round your house and chop you up. Your infringing on their profit and they dont like that. If your lucky they might let you off with a large fine that you have to pay off by living in a 6 bedroom house growing in every room and living in the hall way. Your debt should be paid of in about 5 years. Then your free lol!

Amen, another good point. Know what you are buying, use multiple places, don't ask questions, keeps the suspicion down, though I do not ALWAYS follow that advice...hee...
