wwboy yeah i really want to throw up some pics soon---im VERY old school and need to figure out how yet---all this digital this and that tosses me--when i was young the vcr was the deal to wreak your afternoon .any help from anyone???????
At the top of each page you'll see a Photo Gallery link. Once there you can upload pics from your computer to our gallery. After you do that, click on each thumbnail pic to enlarge it to it's regular size. Then right click on the pic and select properties. hilight the URL of the pic then copy & paste it into your thread. Be sure to add img tags (without spaces) You can also add pics as attachments to your posts. Might be easier for ya.
I always thought the hollow stem was a large xlyem that carried the nutes up the stem. Quite a lot of my plants had them and yeild was always good.
..very interesting thing about the hollow stems, I guess I've never looked that would make an awesome thread man, i think there are several peoples from florida here that might benefit from something like that
wwboy well ok--ill hook up some details about it soon and push it out here but again there wont really be any documents from a credable source other than what im going to say is my personal experience on doing this type outdoor grow so i hope i dont end up with too many people sayen im full of it----if so i guess ill just suck it up and try not to let it get to me this time-----so soon it will happen.

wwboy yeah yeah i know the pics would be great but the swamp grow was done maybe 2 seasons years ago when pics of any girls would have gotten me too paranoid to take--so there are no pics of the swamp grow-- only in my head-just thought maybe id put the info out and let people try if they like?
i have been growing hydro since '02 and ALL of my stems have been hollow. i thought this was how the plant got nutrition.
wwboy well ill just say that years ago i put down bag seed and never paid any attention to stem thickness or if it was hollow --got some fair genetics from a long time grower and started to notice the stems were a bit different in that they were thicker and the tips were more hollow on these than my bag seed girls---now i played alot of breeding attempts and it started to come to light that every time i made a gain in potency the comon factor was always the degree of hollowness in the stems of the parents---off to locate the badest male---grew out perhaps 600 seeds looking for the perfect male--one that got picked was very dark 6 wks into 12/12 and the pollen sacs were very very tightly clustered -- an eye loop showed trics and a cutting showed a very hollow stem--it was the last male to show sex and i used him in a cross with my not so high yeilding but very potent female that showed sex first along with other good check list traits and then crossed again back with this male parent--the fourth backcross was the keeper and to this day i use this plant as my mainstay----im sure a hollow stem isnt the main factor at all but it is in my oppinion a key checklist part in choosing a parent for potentcy---flavor -yeild and what not are other things youll look for in other indicators than hollow stems-i guess perhaps i was just lucky when i found my diamond in the mix of 600 seeds --i hit the genetic lottery a few other times with one being actually too potent and lacking a few key traits like yeild --im still upgrading looking for the real gem--its out there.
