Here is my NFT set up running under a 1000w SHPS with the full dutchmaster line feeding them. They were put into 12/12 straight from clone and are currently starting week 3 of 12/12....to be continued
Hey man Looks good. Not trying to tell ya what to do but you might see if one of the mods would change the name of your thread to deathstar or deathstar NFT or something with deathstar in it. Just because man there is not much info on it floating around out there. Could help a lot of people out.... But yea so you are using the dutch masters nutrients NFT style. How you like the NFT? Never tried one of those. It's just a thin layer of water flowing down the tubes constantly correct? Maybe a little run down on how yours works.
Mods if you're looking go ahead and change the name. I dont use constant flow I have a 3min on 5min off cycle going with the water. This is going to be a really late strain to mature 3 weeks and a couple pistils here and there.... The deathstar that im growing is suppose to be NYCDiesel x Sensei Star there might be some controversy about this but thats the name I know and im sticking to it
Cool that's pretty crazy for the feeding. I'd like to try one of those someday. And about the deathstar genetics not really controversial just not a lot of info out there. Like when I asked you guys about it and the southern lights being NYCDxsensi star too, basically I was just making sure you didn't type something on accident or if you happened to know anything about the coming of deathstar. I wouldn't doubt if it was just a badass pheno found in a pack of southern lights or some independent breeding project using the same strains. Quit a few of the clone only varieties are just that. Like UK cheese, that's just a skunk#1 pheno from sensi that was preserved, dabney like I have is speculated by some to be a good pheno of M-39. Could be the same deal with the deathstar. Either way I'm pulling up a chair and want to see how this goes.
Week 4 update Hurray!!!! They're really picking up on the development. Had one completely die though, the stem rotted just above the grow plug. Other than that they're very healthy and happy.
Hey M.K. what I do is leave the "forced flash" on and that will at least counter some or most of the yellow tinge.
I think there is a thing in the FAQ that tells you how to use photoshop to remove the redness. Not sure I just take them when the lights are off.... Anyways looking good man!!
just don't turn the hps's on and use the flash from the camera. Or bring a lamp in there to do it something like that.

Just because I've never done NFT before it just seems kinda crazy. Never done any hydro app before that you feed that frequently. Well besides a DWC I guess HAHA. Anyway If thagt works for ya do it, you may ask useless he's pretty knowledgable about hydro. not sure if he has ever messed with NFT but you may ask him he may have a few tricks up his sleeves, he usually does.
More updates... So here we go week 3 of flower. The real small plants are the clones I had in soil and then transpanted into the hydro setup they're still alive but I just dont have it in me to give em the axe. Also Does it look like I have a Calcium issue going on? Thats what im leaning towards because im running R/O water.

The last plant has all kinds of problems.........but it is my bastard child and i love her the same...........
All I can say is, LOOKING GREAT.. I have no experience with NFT, or any hydroponics for that matter.. but it looks like u have everything under control to me.. I will be keeping an eye on these pretty ladies. GFam
Hmm is that a little purple in the stem of that last little one? Also pH and everything is in check I assume..... Are you using cal-mag or anything? Looks like Mg and a little P or Ca starting to come through. hold on let me look at the pic again. Alright on second look for sure Mg def and honestly what looks like P def. The Mg look at the leaves how they are yellow and still have the green veins. The P, look at the purple/red stem and the crispy edges on the leaves. But the crispy edges look more like a K problem. Either way P or K will cause that small stunted growth. That could be caused by Ca deff or N deff affecting the too.If you use cal-mag the Ca will helop uptake the K and the Mg will help with the N. Thought I would flush first, mainly because it looks like a lot of problems possibly lockout, then start over fresh and use cal-mag.
