Hey I am currently helping a buddy of mine start a small op. in his shed and 3 of our 12" bagseed plants started to turn red today. All the new growth from the plant and now on the top of the leaves is turning red. What would make this happen and is it a problem? Let me know if you need any information to help figure this one out

The leaves are turnin red also, not just the stems? Seems like you possibly have some type of nutrient deficiency.

It would have to be the temps.

    temps and other ideas

our thermometer broke and I haven't had a chance to go get a new one they were in the mid 70's before we have a heater in the shed, but I will get on that tonight. Also my buddy planted them in some shitty MG soil with time release nutes, I picked up some FF organic soil today but he didn't transplant them, do you think it's something in the soil?

I would say no. It does not sound right it being in the soil. Many have tried the mg soil. I havnt heard that happening from them.

Hmm could you take any pics? Is ir red or purple? Do you know the strain? Have you feed anything else since they have been in the MG soil? Don't give them anything while they are in that soil unless they need it after a few months. When you transplant to the FF don't feed for a few weeks.

Since the temps aren't cold I don't think it's a temperature fluke. I know mazar-i-sharif is supposed to have phenos that turn red instead of purple in cold temps.

we haven't fed the plants anything just water when needed. No I can't get any pictures, and yes it's RED not purple. I've never seen anything like it. I don't know what the strain is it came from a bag of "mids" not sure what he considers mids though probably good schawg, that's an oxy-moron. I'll see if I can get some pictures but don't count on it. thanks for the help

Pics would be great. If the plants otherwise seem healthy ie: leaf structure, growth rate I would just leave em be. My guess is it would be common to the strain. Is this an indica (fatter leaves, stout growth) or a sativa?
