im growing some "querkle" in a "bubble bucket", i have recently noticed that some of the roots have a "brown" "Slime" on them, i was wondering if this is some kind of "root fungis"? and if it is... how can i get rid of it?
Sounds to me to be the case Check this out and tell me what this looks like compared to yours...go down a little less than 3/4 the page...big picture with brown slimy roots...read about it if you want... http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=11688
You can add some Hydrogen Peroxide to your bubble bucket 2 tbs per gallion if it not a lot cut the bad roots out too . High temps in your bucket might have caused it.-Bud
Really it needs to stay below 70. My tubs I would keep at about 68*F and my bubble cloners I could let get about 77* before having any problems. That's the only down fall to DWC bubble buckets, water temps have to stay low compared to other methods like Ebb&flow.
DHWC!! Put your airstone in the bottom, fill the bucket with perlite, put a drain hole a couple inches below the top of the perlite. I got a girl doing this with water temps from the 80s-90s.
you were right about my bucket's temperature assit: thanks 4 the link to the photos of root rot, you guys were both right about my bucket 's temperature it was really! warm! thanks again 4 the advice
