New room setting up...

  1. Just wanted to share some pics of a grow I am setting up..

I still need to clean the walls and cover them in mylar.

Set up is a 1000w HPS, and I am going to try hempy buckets (not sure how many im going to start with just yet)

I will be setting up a clone/veg/mother closet thats a pretty good size while my first batch of clones veg/flower in the "main room"

I also still have to move my ballast to the back porch, as well as install an intake fan, as well as set up an exhaust fan with a carbon scrubber.

speaking of comfy throw a small sofa chair and smoke.o and breath the smokw onto your plants. a happy plant is a plant that will bring you lots:shocked: :animbong:

  4. Right to the left out of view is a window that leads to an enclosed back porch, that has a great source of fresh air

horrible advice the smoke clogs up the stomata which the plant uses to breath in C02.....no smoking around the girls!

    My goodness, the possibilities...

you should stuff 6 lights in that room and grow a serious amount of herb.

  10. Hahaha I dont NEED that much. I live in an area that got heavily effected by the fall of the auto industry. I happened to be employed in such industry, and thus have been living on state unemployment and my savings(since the job market here in CRAP).

I sat down and crunched some numbers, im splitting the costs and the crop with another grower friend of mine thats been doing it for a while now, and growing a small little stash is the more "economical" way of being able to still enjoy some smoke and not have to worry about being bum ass broke!

I should have the rest of my supplies tomorrow, and my clones either thursday or saturday depending on how things go. I've still got to figure out a good fan combo for the intake and exhaust

Not sure if it's still a possibility for you......but I would ditch that 1000w and snag 2 600w's You got the space and 2 600's will give you a better coverage area and allow you to fit more plants under. Nice space you got though nuggnester is right the possibilities are endless!!

Good thinkin Sticky but i think he's kinda locked into that. Fans are EVERYWHERE i get some fans at radio shack for intake the 110v 4" or 6" are decent. Just look online for the 1kw light you will need atleast a 6" inline sucking the heat off that biotch. 1kw are firebreathers man be careful with it they have enough power to literally bleach plants.Stay safe...DSP

  16. When I was looking at lights through HTG supply, the 1000 watter was about $25 more then a 600, seemed like a no brainer to me. I talked to the guy im going in with...hes got a spare 600 hps hes not using, so I MAY have to look into a way to use that as well, but Id have to do some electircal work, as I wouldnt feel safe putting both of them on the same circuit.

Yeah, I had the light on yesterday for a while, and it puts off some heat thats for sure. Cooling is going to be my main priority thats for sure

Yup 1600w with 110v outlets might be pushing a single circuit. I think ive worked it out right 1600/110 = 14.5 amps most house circuits are 15 amps i think or 20.

Check your breakers you might have 20's.

How many plants you planning on putting in there? 1600w would grow 12 to 15 monsters lol ;)

  18. Im not really sure to be honest. I have to see how many clones I have access to, and then decide. Tonight should be the night as well as nothing throws a wrench into the plan!

  19. Well we have started.....

My guy only had 10 clones (citrus skunk) set up right now

My friend wants to go soil(as to thats what he is used to)...so i think im just going to try 5 hempy buckets along side to see if i can tell any type of yield difference.

This weekend, hes gonna bring me some more clones(some more citrus skunk and super silver haze) and finish setting up the room. He really wants to go bigger, im gonna see how comfortable the room is and decide for now

Have them in perlite cups now as to not having any soil ATM, will get some pics later on, maybe tomorrow.

Temp in the room after the lights being on an hour is 73* and 77% humidity

Not sure what your growing experience is but you may want to think about either going all soil or all hempy. Just thinking you may want to simplify things and not have to feed/water at different times. Make sure to post some pics:thumbsup:
