Just flushed due to PH problem. 32 days into flowering. In soil under 400 HPS. Using Fox Farms Big Bloom. When should I fertilize again? Will the damaged leaves heal? The two biggest leaves on the plant were affected, will this be a problem?
you flushed because of PH problems?? you mean you over ferted? opps, thats pretty late for flowering to be doing that...wait a week after you flushed, then you can start using it again. but make sure you stop fertilizing 2 weeks prior to the harvest. So perhaps you cant fertlize them anymore. DOnt worry it will be fine, the leaves wont heal they will begin to brown and die. but this late into flowering it is normal for all the leaves to begin to die soon.
The leaves die? I couldn't tell what was wrong with the plant. The top two biggest leaves on the main plant (not the outer branches) were spotted with brownish dry spots. (looks like hot spots). Using all organic fert. but I heard that salts can build up in the soil. I started with peters 20-20-20 and experimented with others. Now I know only organic but after looking the only thing it looks like is PH. Did I damage to plant by flushing? Is it normal for the biggest leaves to die?
Theres your problems right there most likely, Chem ferts cause salt build up and the flush(if you didnt flush good enough) could have "set them off" and caused overferting, As for PH most dont have PH problems in soil unless your water is really off to start with...Yes you should flush at the start of the last two weeks of flowering with 3 times the size of your pot in water which will flush out all the ferts from the soil, The plant is then forced to use up the nutes it has stored in its leaves which will get rid of the "green taste"(cloraphyl)...
