I saw the cool tube in GT420's stealth box. Very impressive. My question is.... How do you get that devise plugged into a wall? It looked like it just had wires sticking out of the end. What do you attach them to? I'm not looking for a detailed "step by step" just an overview.
LOL, no all H.I.D.'s have to have a ballast aka a transformer to power it. You didn't see mine because it's hidden.
So the cool tube goes straight into the ballast? I guess the Q I'm really asking is... How do you "plug" the cool tube into the ballast? I don't have any concept on wiring. I'm totally lost.
O.K., On your grow tube pics, there are 2 wires sticking out of the back of the device you screw the lightbulb into. Where do these wires go? How do you connect them to the ballast? I understand the whole light to ballast to wall, but I don't understand how you make those 2 "raw" wires adapt to a ballast. I know I'm just not asking the right question, so I apologize for the confusion on my part.
Ripright...I think you need to relax...it's really not as complicated as it seems. In all H.I.D.(High Intensity Discharge) lighting there is a light bulb, light bulb socket, and ballast. The socket has to be wired to the ballast somehow, and this is done with a prefabricated cord that has a plug for the ballast on one end, and open wires on the other end attaching to the socket. The ballast then connects to a wall outlet with another cord. Hope that puts your mind at ease.
Dude I saw cool tube and thought this was a thread about surfing dude! But like the way lights work is that the wires coming out of the socket go to the ballst dude. Then dude the balls plug int the wall. So like the electric comes out of the wall dude and into the ballst where it gets turned into like another kind of electric. Then dude that new electric goes up the wires to the bulb and then light comes out dude!
