So, umm, yeah.......this whole house renting thing ain't really working out. I don't like not being able to do what I want, when I want. And, once my wife gets her med card I want to start expanding my grow area considerably, and I can't do that here. SO, I went out and bought a god damn house last weekend. :flipando:

This is not the one, but it will look like this once completed.

We will end up just getting in under the deadline for the $8000. tax credit, plus along with a few other incentive programs and the builders rebates, we got a really good price and were able to do some pretty good upgrades and still came in less than I'm paying for rent. It's not as country as I like, but it's on the outskirts of town and it's a nice place. I also have the full go ahead from the wifey to step up the growroom once we get moved in. :nanner-2:

Awesome Joe...too bad you couldn't have used a MJ friendly builder from one state over  . I'd really help you hook up that grow room. Congrats on the house, and for not having to throw money away in rent anymore. Can't wait to see the new op.

I did some concrete work (between nursing jobs) and I know that we occassionally did some funky designs re: basements as per customer specs. You can have them pour seperate rooms simply by adding a few more forms. Even if you're just going to have a big area with rooms framed-out, you're still below the frost line :thumbs-up:

Not really, but apparantly the bank thinks so. :5eek: :icon_scratch:

It's hard to find a house under 200K anymore. Actually, we've worked really hard the last few years to get rid of all of our debt. Credit cards, med bills, all of it. PAID. With the exception of this bullshit truck payment, my debt to income ratio is probably the best it's been in years. hmmm??? Yet for some reason, I still don't have a dime left over at the end of the month. :icon_scratch: :wtf?:

With the economy and unemployment still heading in the direction it is, I've really been weighing the whole rent/own decision for the last 6-7 months. My job isn't necessarily safe. On one hand If I ever do lose my job and can't find another, I probably wouldn't stay here in this city anyway and don't want to be tied to a house which I'll most likely be upside down on. As a renter I can pretty much go when I have to.

However, the down side is that if I did lose my job, the landlord would kick me to the curb immediately. (insensitive prick!)

With a mortgage, people who can't make the payments are sometimes staying in their homes for a year or more before finally getting evicted.

I know, I think about weird shit :bduh:

Thanks D. I hear ya. Residential or not though, it will be legal under state law, so the neighbors and the cops can :bj:

Also, I'll be within the Denver city limit and in Denver MJ is decriminalized. :nanner-2:

As a closet smoker for the last 1/4 century, it's a weird place to get used to. My wife and I were at the eye doctor yesterday and she was telling her all the pain meds she takes, and the EYE Doctor told her she should get a Medical Marijuana card and start smoking pot. :roffl:

Oh, and the ladies under the stairs will fullfill their destiny. It's the seedlings that are supposed to go behind them that are going to get interesting.

Haha, ya quoted me not LL there Joe. :roffl:

But ya, sometimes I completely forget it's actually legal elsewhere. Best wishes brotha on the new digs. :bong-2:

Yahoo Joe! Yeah, renting's for the birds. If you can swing it getting yerself into an affordable place of your own gives so much more latitude and piece of mind.

Looks like a nice place to raise kids too. Newer neighborhoods always have lots of little screamers for your's to hang with.

So if your wife gets a card and you get a card and you collect your neighbor's cards I'm thinking ohhhh bout 8000w hid in that basement:droooling: :roffl:

    cheers,

YEAH BABY!! I can go door to door and ask all the neighbors if they have a card, and if they want to sign me over as their caregiver. :beerchug-2:

Gotta make sure I wear my official uniform when I do it too. :roffl:
