Dont shoot yourself in the foot by harvesting early. It's those last few weeks that MATTERS!

I have a perpetual harvest going on. Harvest is every 70-80 days. I do this by using an old dresser turned vegbox filled with about 160w CFL's. I start all of my seeds 30-40 days before my flower closet is ready to pull and they are ready to go 12/12 once I move them over. Don't skip a beat!

ok so to keep myself from shooting myself in the foot on harvesting too early.. what do i do..

when I see that the tricks are getting milky, or are milky or are turning amber do i just give them another week?

cause yesterday I pulled 2 more out of the closet and hrvested them. the tricks on one plant where all milky and about 10% amber. and another was all milky with 50% amber mixed in. so i pulled them and harvested them..

And on another note. I have been keeping all my leafs with trics on them in a rubber maid container, in the room my closet is in, with the lid off. do i let them dry out or do i throw them right into the freezer. once all the plants have been harvested I want to make som hash. I plan on just running the leafs threw a silk screen and pressing it into hash.

depends really on the (type) buzz yer after??? harvest when more amber for (couchlock)...maybe end of clear to milky for the (up) type sativa kinda high ??? i like both for diff reasons/maybe take some early off the tops and lable em then a few wks later harvest the rest at 70% amber???

Ok Thanks for the advice..... but the ??? at the end of everything made me feel like you are not sure.. I dunno.. Ya know...

Anywhoo. Harvested 2 plants about 4 days ago. they felt pretty dry so I pulled them down and just trimmed off the stems and put them into my Curing jar for the next few days.

the one was really, really seedy. I had a problem reading the sex on 2 of the plants and it cause a few of my plants to get fertilized... sucks..

but I got a oz between the too. it looks good, but like I said its really seedy.

Dude, they look great! :good job:

In my limited experience I reckon they could maybe go another week... I was surprised with the amount of extra bulk I got out of my last two plants just by waiting that extra week.

edit: Oh wow, I didn't see the text above your photos... I'm a tad baked and it's right before bed. :flyy:

But yeah, I agree, at least another week or two then go for it! :thumbs-up:

yes ras that's tin foil. I plan on swapping it out with some Mylar down the road. but ya gotta do with what ya got at the time.

So one more week? on all of em.. at least.. I have been using nothing but water for the last 2 weeks..

Gonna have some decent toke there. Lose the foil and spend $8 on a quart of matte/satin finish white paint.

    cheers,

the walls are a flat/ matte white paint under the tin foil... or should I do mylar??? or just take off the tin foil and keep the white wall's?

The white walls will reflect better than the foil and are easier to maintain than mylar.

Yeah, I'm with Res. Whatever you do, ditch the foil, that shit will concentrate your light into hot spots - it's great at reflecting heat.

And hell, if you already have white walls, I'd certainly recommend you don't spend any further and just stick with those, they'll do the job fine and reflect nearly as well as mylar, if not equally. :thumbs-up:
