Dang guys, I am pretty clueless. I know how to build 5 different hydroponic systems. Yet I am staying with soil.

    here are my questions.

Do male plants produce enough THC to smoke and get high?

    What the heck are hermies?

Can anyone link an affordable grow light for 2 plants? I am going to start small. I am confused by fixtures not the lights themselves.

And when can I harvest the plants to just get high? I mean, is it possible to get high before the flowering stage?

What is the average Seed to smoke time of any strain?

Whats the charge for getting caught?

    I'll think of more.

Thanks in advance. I have searched and read, and still I am clueless.

ill try to answer some of your questions

    1. no you cant get high from a male cause it has very little thc unless you have alot of them and make hash but it still wouldnt be worth the time

    2. hermies are half male and half female. basically you get a plant that made its self pregnant and produce seeds.

    3. try a search on ebay but you get what you pay for. or you can try to goto your local home depot and look at some 100 watts hps security lights.

    4. it takes about 6 weeks or more into the flowering stage before you can harvest.

5.depends on what strain you get.

6.this also depends on what state your in and how much your growing.

-Yes you can get high from male plants.

-hermie's are hermaprodites, meaning it has both male (pollen sacs) and female parts (buds). They are undesireable because the more seed a plant produces, the less smoke there is. Sin semilla (no seeds) is what most people want.

-If you smoke the leaves/formin buds before it's done flowering you will get high. But not nearly as much as if you wait until they're fully ripe, slow dried and cured.

-Lights: The best are HPS, which consist of a step-up transformer (ballast), hood/reflector/socket, and a bulb.

-You want to veg (grow vegatatively) until the plant is sexually mature, which generally occurs between 4 and 6 weeks of veg. It is indicated by alternating nodes.

-seed to smoke: inside 3.5 to 4 months min. Outside it's from April/May to Sept/Oct.

-It depends on where you are. Check out NORML's website; they list the penalties from state to state. In California, if you have a script (not too difficult to obtain) it's legal. In fact, in most jusrisdictions they don't even bother to prosecute if they's no evidence of sales. How many you're allowed depends on the county. In Humboldt County you're allowed to grow 99 at a time.

I have a small grow op going and I use a 150w hps I got from Lowes Home Improvement, only $85. It will need to be hard wired. meaning it comes with 3 wires to connect to a power source. Easy as pie though. What I did was purchase an extension cord, heavy duty, with ground prong (a must). Then I cut off the female plug end of the cord and connected the corresponding colored wired.

As far as your other ?s, Ranger covered it best. Wish I lived in Humboldt County, Cali.

i disagree with pimpster, you can get high from a male plant, depending on the quality of the strain and growing conditions it may produce as much thc as a female cheap commercial bud,but when growing if your want to grow your male also you cant have it near the female or it will ruin the female , keep it in different room becuase if the pollens from the male reach the female the female goes to seed and use's up its thc to do so.

and as far as smoking it before it reaches flowering stage , its not recommended in the plants early stage the thc is in a different form its not actualy (THC) yet it goes to 2 stages before becoming thc at its most potent stage.

the average cycle for a beginer growing from seed to harvest, you can do it quickly in about 2-3 months if you force the plant to flower at a early stage , but it wont be as potent, and never harvest your buds to early wait till the little white hairs on the buds turn redish brownish

growing is federal offense not sure what the charge is exactly
