Got all settled into my new place. Collected a bunch of seeds from a friend
to start my next grow. Good smoke, nothing super, but good enough. Used the same method for germination that I have always used. Placed seeds between wet papertowels until tap root appears. Well it's been a more then a week and NOTHING. No tap roots. Not even a sign that any of the 30 seeds
has begun to crack open. I have never had this happen. My seeds have always germed using this method. Don't know what is different this time but something dosen't seem right. I haven't struck out this bad sence highschool.
Any thoughts on my vast failure???

    Peace.....

0 germed outta 30 with absolutely no signs of life, unless you used some seriously contaminated water I think you could safely say it's the seeds and not you. What the problem with seeds could be, I have no clue.

I do know that seeds are some stout fuckers if healthy though, I had seeds that were thrown on the floor of my Mustang sprout up when I was in high school way back when lol.

Failure is not an option, just a learning opportunity.... get some more seeds and germ them!!!:popcorn-2:

I was thinking "the water" too. But it's city water, and I have used it many times before. I am going to test for cholrine PPM when I get home. I have NO

intention of ever giving up. I will keep trying. Thanks for the thoughts RB.

Fill a shot glass with water and drop the seeds in that. Let them soak for 24 hours then try your usual germination method. Soaking should soften the shells and make it easier for them to open. If they still don't germinate they could be immature, dead, or simply stubborn.

Tried that. First 20 went stright into wet papertowels. After nothing from them I put 10 more to soak overnight in a glass of water. Then into the papertowels. Stlill nothing, nada, zip, zero, zilch.

    But thanks for the thought.

Sounds like they may be real old. Might try soaking them in a cup of water for 24 hours, THEN go to the damp paper towel.

In case you're interested, everyonedoesit.com sells SINGLE feminized seeds. You may think it's worth it to pick out a single seed , start her up and clone the living crap outa her.

ooops! Sorry! I shoulda read the whole thread before hitting REPLY. Well...last thing I can suggest is the trick I use on Morning Glory seeds (notoriously hard thick shells) take a sterile or super clean new razor blade and make a small nick on the surface of the seed, THEN soak over night. Ive never tried this with MJ, but Im guessing the same principle will work--nicking the hard surface allows some water to penetrate thru the hard outer shell, starts to swell and POP! then you'll have morning glories! er, uh...I mean...well, you know what I mean.

Hell ya.... buying shit sks....paying the normal weed price.... sks...

I hate knowing the real price, that the drug dealer is paying. When you know he payed half of what you are paying, really makes you think bout bying weed. Fuck no!

Grow your own, and sell your own. :anibong:
