I'm getting a later start than everyone else, but at least I started. So here we go:

I got the seeds from the fine folks at Fusion packed in their fancy Hi-Tek packaging with custom graphics by Useless:

I don't have any space at the moment, so I cannot start all twelve. I don't even have enough room for the six that I did start, so this should be fun.

Anyway, I started germinating six of them on November 30 using the paper towel method. I do not soak in water beforehand. Wrapped them in a damp paper towel and sandwiched them between two plates. Into the mother/clone/sprout box they went.

After 4 days, 5 of them cracked and the roots showing, so I planted them in Rockwool cubes.

The next day, #6 cracked, so it too went into the RW.

Which brings us to today. All 6 have broken the surface and now the fun begins.

Yeah, I know... long stems.... That will be remedied in due time.

Not late. I just got mine in but mine came in a little tube with a Fusion sticker sealing it. And I'll also only be able to do 6 at a time. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I was feeling like I should have said I only had room for 6 but didn't know how many were coming. Now I don't feel like a sleeze. I should be popping them next week. I stuffed my tent with everything that was ready for flower so I'd have room.

    Update time

Here is a little update on the grow.

Not too much happening yet, they are just doing their thing.

These were taken two weeks ago (week 3 of veg).

and just for fun, I took a picture of the roots.

This pic was taken today. They are still in the seedling tray under the flourescents and are probably root bound. I will be planting them out later this week. I'll take their pics in their new, and final, home when I do that.

The one in the left front pocket is looking a little N deprived, so I gave it a boost of nutes. I'm not sure why that one is different than the rest, but I will keep an eye out to see how it progresses.

I didn't want to request seeds, as I didn't think my resources were up to par for an adequate test. Now I sorta wish I had.

Oh well. I'm enjoying watching everybody else :popcorn-2:

    Finally, two weeks later

Well, I finally got them out of the seedling tray and into their final homes: 2-liter soda bottles.

When I took them out, they were root-bound, of course, but now they have some more space to spread out.

    On with the pics....

The first three; these look very nice. Smaller than they should be, but still, nice and green:

In the next picture, the two on the left have some issues. They look under fed and it looks like the PH is out of whack, even though they were fed exactly the same as all the others. At this point, I will blame the problems on them being root-bound. Will keep an eye on them to see how they progress now that they are in their final home.

This one is looking a little short on N:

And this one looks like it has other problems:

That's it for this week. My apologies to Fusion for being so lax on my updates and my growing. I will try to do better in the future.

    Update

Here is the update. It's been two weeks since I put them into the larger pots and they are responding well. The new growth is looking great.

I tied them over to encourage branching. I should be able to take some clones next week.

    Here are some pictures:

    The group:

They all pretty much look like this:

    Tied the top over:

I would like to start this post with a huge apology to Hupla, Useless, and Fusion. I know I agreed to put up regular updates, but due to circumstances beyond my control, I could not.

I've had a hell of a last month and a half. We had a a family emergency and I had to put up some people in my house without any warning. While I am legal in California, I still keep my grows under-cover because I don't want the kids of my siblings telling their friends what "Uncle Alien" has growing in his closets.

I did not even have time to dispose of anything, so it was very tough keeping my stuff hidden. Luckily, I have locks on my growing closets. The main problem was that I could not tend to my plants on a regular basis. In fact, a couple of times I could not even look at my plants for over a week because of all the activity in my house. This caused me to lose a couple of my Bonsai Mums, all of the clones I had rooting out and 5 plants that I had just put into flowering. I'll show some pictures when I have time to post them.

Now for the (sort of) good news. All 6 of my LemonBerry plants survived the fiasco. Their growth was stunted due to lack of watering, but at least they are alive.

They were under a 400W MH run on an 18/6 schedule. I have 2 confirmed males and 4 females. Interestingly, the males fully flowered under the 18/6 light schedule, while the females just showed pre-flowers. I have already trashed the males. The females all seem to be of the same phenotype.

I don't have time to post up pictures right now, but I will post them up tomorrow.

Thanks for tuning in, and once again, I am very sorry for having to "disappear" for the last month and a half.

Got that right Sticky. These LemonBerries took quite a beating for almost 2 months. We are now back on track, though.

Like I said, I have two males. The lights were 18/6, but the males went into flowering. Looks like one needs to veg these under 24/0.

    Here are the pics:

Now for some good news: Looks like I got 4 females. :thumbs-up: You cannot see from these pictures, but they do have pre-flowers and they have not gone into full flowering. These pictures were taken last Thursday:

Over the weekend, I cleaned out some of the lower branches and took some clones. I decided to use my mini-E-n-F to flower these in. They will stay in the 2-liter soda bottles. I switched the light to my 400W HPS and changed the timer to 12/12 on Sunday.

Here are the clones (in the chicken box):

And a couple of shots of the ladies in the E-n-F tub:

Another thing I noticed is that they don't branch out much. Makes it hard to get enough branches to take clones. That will need more testing as I create my Bonsai Mums.

Now if no other shit happens for the next couple of months, I should be doing regular updates.

Thanks tuning in and for your patience and understanding.
