Ive had this Medicine Man clone in a 5 gal. HEMPY for four weeks....and that sucker has barely grown. So, I gently lifted her and....that rootball wasnt any bigger than a softball and a LONG way from the res. So, I pit a pump on her today. We'll take another look in a week or two and see how she likes it. She's out on the deck suckin up free sunshine.

    Thanks, Ofo! Thanks, GTWT!

Nippie--the Med Man is from the last of my mr.nice seeds. I dont think anybody BUT mr. nice produces Med Man. Other breeders call it, White Rhino.

The Pepsi Challenge (LOL!) is still gonna happen....but the orig. four plants gor mangled (and two didnt make it) in a fall off the deck rail. So, Ive got four more clones (this time off a Cindy) rooting right now to start all over again. I think Ive finally learned my lesson about putting plants on the rail, too. This is the second time Ive had plants fall off.

Amazing what water will do huh? I made my last bunch of clones in hempy because I ran out of rapid rooters. They rooted up in half the time.

I just ran into some a few weeks ago that had "med man" from somone other than mr nice. Don't know if he didn't know what he was talking about, or if someone else was producing it by the same name now. I've always been partial to nirv. white rhino, but have never grown it myself.

I saw an interesting vid on youtube about defoil plants, if I find it again ill send you the link, it may have some useful info. I myself wouldn't think it would work, but who am I? Very interested in the pepsi chall.

Impressive growth also with the pump. Have you ever seen algae or anything like that from the exposed water? and how often do you change or adjust water with that system?

Really? Interesting....I never even thought to root in perlite until somebody here mentioned it. Now Im itching to give it a try. Thanks for sharing that--

The Med Man plant is getting Canna Substra VEG nutes but after a month of just sitting there in the perlite, it wasnt growing much. When I lifted it and saw the little rootball, I felt so sorry for the poor little thing....she was still a foot above the res, LOL. So, by using the little pump to recirculate her nutes on the roots constantly, as you can see, she doubled in size in a week. They really REALLY love it.

Thanks again...Ive got my aero cloner full of cuttings and was gonna wait til those root before starting the next batch...but now Im gonna start the second round in perlite. I'll let ya know which root fastest.

Oh, man. That's why Shantibabba changed the name of HIS strain to Medicine Man in the first place....because too many other breeders started selling their versions of hid White Rhino. So...if other breeders are now caloling thier stuff Med Man....I guess he'll have to change the name again.

I have not had an algae problem so far. I was flushing the containers every three days at first, then started doing it every five days. When I flush the plants, I also clean the res tub and pump by running vinegar/water, then rincing with water. The tubs do get a slimy feel---but the vinegar/water fixes that.
