I just chopped some NL form Nirvana. Great plant to grow, easy to clone and Great smoke period. ShadowWarrior, This would ba a great strain for you. Some bud shots for you guys
Thanks MRGJ. It's probably going to be my next project. From what I can tell by what you've said and posters on RIU.org, the high is pretty awesome and definitely is a looker commonly having amazing trich production and generous yields. Meant to ask if you have any experience with outdoors, like can you comment on pest/disease resistance, max yield etc..?
Stellar as usual!! I can attest that the NL is easy to clone. I've got one NL and the two clones from her did FAR better than all others. Retiree
Make sure you post your yield after it dries. That's crazy! The main trunk of the plant doesn't even look 12 inches tall. Good on ya!!!
Hey jr215, The plant was 14 inches tall at the tallest bud, and 15 inches wide. I ended up with 2.2 ounces of dried bud off that plant. :thumbs-up:
Wish mine looked that good Mr.G!!:thumbs-up::thumbs-up::not-worthy::not-worthy: Defiantly a nice plant to grow and smoke Mr.G, looking forward to having another go at her in the future but in hempy and with a better nute schedule. asssit:
Thanks for the compliments guys, really. I don't claim to be a master grower, just a good grower. I don't care how many years you have been doing this, there is always something to learn.:thumbs-up: By the way. That plant was grown in a one gallon pot. I consistently pull 2 plus ounces off the plants in one gallon pots. The most I gotten off one plant in theses pots is 3.6 ounces after completely dry. Here is the trick guys. All variety's of MJ have different nutrient needs. Some like alot of N during Vegg and some varieties like less during vegg. I point this out because if you find 3 or 4 variety's that you love and learn what they like than your all set. Example, if you like Northern lights you will discover it is a moderate feeder, but not a heavy feeder. Bubblelicious likes even less N than NL does during vegg. Lemon-berry seems to like alot more N than NL. Once you learn what a plant needs as far as food goes than your all set. As you gain experience you will learn how to read your plants signals which will help you to become a great grower.
I think that's the whitest perlite Ive ever seen. Nuggs lookin sexy. I wanna inhale dat Northern Lights while I'm looking at the Northern Lights! I'm gonna order some NL5 beans this summer so that I'll have a nice NL stash cured and ready for smoke while I watch the Aurora light up the winter sky. I've sat for hours just staring at it. Man its indescribable. Nice plant brother MGJ.:thumbs-up:
GJ - Can you do the topping and size control that you do in a hydro setup? My new digs I am thinking about doing enf, or something else. I will have a lot more space to work with, but I just love the compactness of your plants. Seems more efficient too, less plant, more bud. GTWT :XXhippylove:
GTWT: I don't see why not. You're not doing anything to the medium; just altering the plant structure.
Yes you can GTWT. I top once only. After the side branches shoot out I tie the branches in to place so you get an even wide canopy. It should work nicely for you. :thumbs-up:
As MrGreenJeans Says, its all about the feeding... THe Patience, and THere y go... Lovely yeilding sweet crystally plants!!! otleaf:  And also, IMExp... Ive learned that the more ROOT-Space available during Flowering, when using the Correct regime of Feeding, is exactly how ya get your Big ass nuggs n Yeilds from your beloved MJ plants! *As MRGJeans says, learn their ways of telling YOU what THEY need, and HOW MUCH! Peace everyone, Fantastic grow again MrGreenjeans, UrBigBuddie..... Really love the looks of the NL5... Very nice indeed! Lovely patient work MRGJ.....
