Mn NORML had a tent and participated in the parade this year. The new local honchos are getting very active in local politics and civic events. The pics are from the tent only since I spent my time there while the big names walked the parade route. It was a wonderful morning and we discussed MMJ for our state, dreamed of full legalization, passed out information to hundreds of attendees and signed up many many new associate members to MnNORML. It was fun to stand in a crowd in my pot leaf tie dye GK hoodie discussing cannabis and legalization with so many like minded folk. Even better was having my teen age daughters not be embarrassed by their poppa doing what he thinks is right. Yeah, that's me looking like an old hippie. Pretty normal looking bunch of stoners if you ask me. If we want things to change...we need to do it ourselves. cheers,
Harrisburg has a chapter (?), but you never see anything going on. Please tell me that's you in the tie-dye and not with the camera. He looks more like Bud btw: who's the fruitloop in the bright green shorts :rofl6:
YOu look like your having a good time Res!!!! Did you sneak off in the weeds with any of these folks??? t6
MrA You KNOW that's me in the VWPeaceworks tie dye man. Geeeeez. It's a little tough to sneak a toke with cops all around while working a NORML booth.:roffl: :roffl: The green shorts cat was tame. The local BDSM leather club had a section complete with subs and doms doing their thing. Whoa Nellie!!!! I just want to toke and screw some hot 420 lady....but don't let me bother you. Sometimes when the crowd bunched up I'd step in and yell, "Who wants to talk about POT?" It's interesting because we had senior's, kids, suburban folks asking about legalization and med use. Surprising because a couple medical professionals stopped to argue the medical benefits (there are none.....really). It was odd to experience intolerance from a gay guy.:roffl: Figure he'd have first hand experience concerning live and let live. Most folks didn't even realize that 16 states have MMJ laws on the books or that big pharm is patenting specific hybrid strains. So much misinformation out there. Lot's of "Really, I had no idea!" responses. Started me thinking this is less a game about smoke outs and lobbying and more about educating those who would support us if they only knew the truth.
Isn't this every major political or moral hot button out there? Americans are cows following mainstream media - whoever gets to them first gets their vote, so to speak. GTWT :XXhippylove:
Thats whats up RR! This is what i try to do almost everyday on FB. Its crazy how many people that dont know whats really goin on. Keep up the good work man!
That chick with the pocketbook hiding her ass looks cute :thumbs-up: I thought you were saying that was you talking to her Glad you had a good time.
i'm sorry RR, but is your avatar an old pic because you look nothing like it? keep up the boots on the ground work, it's the only way to make a change
wonder what it'll take I wonder how long it will take to reach the tipping point. It will def. happen, just a matter of time. Got my vote.
That's very impressive Resin, I'm also living in the msp/st.paul area and didn't know we even had any kind of voice in the state. It makes me proud to see ppl do care about this issue here in minnesota! Are there any other events that norml will be out in the twin cities area?
www.mnNORML.org It's all right there. Next event is the Hempfest Walk for Freedom on Sept 17. http://www.mnnorml.org/mnnorml/24th-annual-twin-cities-hempfest And there are regular meetings for anybody interested in getting involved.
