GTWT: my tomatos aren't yet ripe either, although I was lazy and started them a few wks. later than normal.

nippie: I usually plant habeneos, but I have plenty in the freezer. If I could find Bhot ('Ghost') peppers, I would've. A chick at work gets me ground Bhot from a friend. I'm promised plants next Spring :thumbs-up:

I took cuttings and did 'em just like weed (only I used dirt). I put them outside with a plastic bag for humidity. At 2 wks. they all had roots.

It'd be interesting to see if they root quicker in the aero.

Those HR do get big, fast! I can see the root of one pushing out of the dirt and it's hugh!

The BFB's hid the brush pile. I was going to plant a CM back there, but it's too risky with indoor going on.

I know you can clone tomatoes, how do you do other plants? I've tried, unsuccessfully, at taking cuttings and other methods. What other plants grow the side shoots like MJ and tomatoes? Or can you clone with other parts of a plant?

I've only ever cloned weed and BFB's, but they root the same.

    What other type of plant?

I'm a flower nut as well. I have been known to dump some serious $ on hibiscus in particular, and they being a tropical plant, and I being a snow bunny I sometimes have difficulty maintaining a healthy (sometimes ALIVE) plant. Would be nice to make more. I have some strange obsession with growing things in environments they would not normally be found in (ie I have a navel orange tree on my deck in my ID house.....) and knowing how to propagate these plants would be another added skill to my list, a skill I have yet to master, save MJ and tomatoes.

I know it depends on the type of plant - whether it's a woody stem or soft, fibrous, viney, etc.

Then again, I've only tried different things in ID, where the humidity and overall environment is, IMO, more difficult to control....

MrA this site sells Bhut Jolokia's(ghost peppers).

They sell the peppers and seeds and sometimes have small plants for sell.

you really eat those things? I hear they are hellishly hot... enough that paste on a fence post will send an elephant running. That's not something a human should consume IMHO.

I've been wanting some to make mace and anti-deer potions for my garden.

    Thanks.

I looked them up last yr. and knew the spelling, but forgot :lmao: I hate to mispell!

My friend scored me some, crushed and in a cool clear plastic cylinder.

I like to sprinkle it on soup NE Clam, or lately, Chicken Corn Cowder. It's the hottest for sure. Clears your sinuses, sweat running down your forehead and neck. I love it :thumbs-up:

I had some Hybrid kung pao peppers a few years ago and those things, even with just a little bit made your mouth feel like you had acid in your mouth. with the jolokia's being rated over 1m SHU, highest on record, I wouldn't dare put one in my mouth.
