Ron Paul makes the most sense out of all of the candidates on the Republican stage but here's the problemm with following the constitution to a "T"; you can't really do that and have this particular democracy work. There are many things that were not mentioned in the constitution that if we take them away simply because our forefathers didn't (and couldn't) anticipate that we needed them we actually would be in a much worse position as a country. The guy makes a lot of sense but when you start talking about taking shutting down the EPA and the Department of Education and Social Securitry then you lose me BIG TIME!
Jesus that Romney is the phoniest bastard I have ever listened to!!! GINGRICH ROMNEY PERRY And were gonna believe these guys??????? Yea Right!!!!!!!:icon_confused: t6
He is for allowing people to opt of SS Black prince...By the time i am able to qualify for SS there will be none for me....why should i have to pay into it...The EPA is a beast regulator...get rid of them and replace it with something else....far to often our regulatory agencies expand like a business for no reason other than to add to their clout....Department of Eduction definately needs to go...keep it local and keep the government out of handing the money to our schools..
Hey everyone. I agree that the above list is not appetizing BUT the alternative is another 4 years of Obama. Do you really want this out of touch asshole for another term? http://www.nypost.com/p/news/national/in_blunderland_hKpNQkHfvpEWe4F51kI4dP The picture at the bottom is especially creepy. THIS is the President???
Dude, I'll take Obama over that crazy fuck Mormon Romney any fucking day of the week. Ron Paul is pretty popular amongst folks of our types, because he believes that drug use is a personal choice. Problem is, you have to get the average stoner off their ass and into the voting booth to register and vote. Same with Libertarians. Most of them just hate politics altogether, so getting them to do anything is very difficult. It's a self-destructive, catch-22 party, actually. GTWT :XXhippylove:
Smack every one of the alphabet agencies out of the system as far as I'm concerned. Each one has become a servant to it's own advancement losing track of original missions. It's the nature of any political agency to seek growth and power. If you remove the possibility of monetary gain or expansion the only avenue left for driven intelligent people (worker bees at the agencies) is power and growth of mission. Time to trim the garden.... We trim trees, budgets..anything that grows simply to keep it healthy and remove unnecessary growth that damages the whole. We cull herds, plants, gardens to maintain the health of the group. Why should government agencies be any different? BP...the safety net is full of holes and don't work bro. The regulatory agencies only control those of us small enough not to own an administrator or pay for rule changes and variances. The fear of NOT having them or having drastically different set-ups is EXACTLY what Washington wants. Don't buy the line of "We can restructure or fix the systems" (be it FHA, FMAC, DEA, DoD, IRS......et al.) has been the mantra we're expected to believe for decades as things continue to go the other way with complete inaction on the part of elected government and it's protected set of non-elected bureaucratic agency heads. Maybe you're still young enough to still buy it...but there are those of us who've watched the same political lies from different mouths for decades. They'e both smarmy greasy political chameleon fucks that deserve to be split from balls to chin by being tied to horses running in separate directions. A vote for Obama is a vote for a sack of shit who rides whatever political storm that brings him further on his own misguided agenda at the cost of all of us. Romney is the mirror image wrapped in a conservative flag.
This is about as well put as I've heard or read. Both parties suck. Watching the Republican debates made my head hurt. But I CAN'T vote for Obama. I won't. So what's our option, in your opinion?
The only way I would consider voting Republican is if Paul won the nomination, and even then it would be a LONG shot. I really DO NOT want to vote for Obama. If Gary Johnson gets the Libertarian nomination he is getting my vote. :bong-2:
Our option? We don't have a viable national option. Vote locally, vote at your state level. Support the free radical nutjob that wants on the school board by giving him/her $20 towards a campaign. Go door knocking for a state rep that believes in State's Rights when they run for office. Vote for fuck's sake and make it count by getting somebody to vote with you for a local person for a local office that YOU trust. It's these local and state races that make the difference now. We've lost the federal government years ago. Our only hope is local and state level change that leaves the feds gasping for breath fighting to retain their stranglehold. But.....for Pres since I need to choose I go with whoever isn't currently in office and seems the least damaging. That ain't Barry or Mit. Who in their right mind gives an idiot another four years to continue shoving a cock up our asses and feed his Wall Street buddies or passes a torch to a plastic cut-out cultist?
Never said I liked the fucking bastard. I just really really REALLY fucking hate Romney. T6 knows why. Glad I got the fuck outta there. GTWT :XXhippylove:
Yeah he'd fuck the american public 6 days a week and be a saint on Sunday that mongoloid looking son of a bitch!! t6
I guess I must have got Pauls position on SS wrong. It's not so much that I'm in love with the EPA the way it's operated today but there needs to be some agency of some type that does what they do. I'm not a "big government" guy, but I understand the need for some type of federal authority being black and from the South. The amount of local corruption that existed down here in the Civil Rights Era would never have been broken without a big bad Federal Government to descend and lay down some law with the "good ol' boys" down here. There needs to be a solution to local and regional corruption besides a regional uprising and the Federal Government serves that role. Do I agree with the amount of power that they have to dick around in peoples lives? No. Do I think that there needs to be a scaling back of the scope of government's power and reach and ability to borrow money? Hell yeah! But dashing the government into a thousand pieces is not the answer. EDIT: All that being said I'd vote for Ron Paul over Obama if he got to the general elections. I think that Ron Paul could be the Teddy Roosevelt of our generation. You don't get a chance to get someone that thinks like him in office but maybe once in a generation.
I don't think we need to eliminate most of the agencies (except the DEA), just simply stream line and combine them to make them more efficient. We don't need Marshals and DEA and CIA and FBI and FDA and ATF all looking for the same guy for the same damn thing!
For starters it doesnt make a shit whether you vote or not the people dont pick the president the elec colledge does. Does not matter who gets elected this damn bickering and fighting shit between the reps and the dems I dont think is going to stop. Therefore a presidents hands are basically tied. Not until all the weeds have been kicked out on their asses will things ever change for the better of the country. t6
Yeah. I kind of agree with this. We're basically voting for the party. But did Obama spring healthcare on us without his masters's approvals? If McCain had won, would we have universal healthcare?
