Bean order snagged by customs

SON OF A...


That's right! A letter was received at my destination address from Canada Customs saying they have my 19 seed order. I ordered from The Attitude and "guaranteed" my order by adding a T-shirt.


To whom has this ever happened to and what is the best/recommended coarse of action from here?

Has never happened to me. I have heard of it happening to people in the USA, and from what I understand, there is no course of action. It's been seized. All you can do is contact The Attitude for a reshipment and hope that they make it this time. They will ship to the same address, and you can't change that. But I think it's fairly rare to have them seized. All you can do is see if the reshipment arrives. asssit:

 

That sucks man. I'd be crapping my pants right about now if it were me, just waiting for the storm troopers to kick in the fucking door. Good luck man!

 

Why? They can't do anything to prove that you knew that seeds were on their way to your house. They just confiscate them and that's the end of it. I've never heard of anyone getting a visit after a seed order was seized by customs. I could be wrong, but I seriously doubt that there is anything to worry about,

 

I believe if anyone ever got busted from having a seed order confiscated, it would be common knowledge on all grow sites. Since it is not, I doubt they ever go after a single seed orderer. Also, laws about seeds are completely different compared to actual possession.

Happened to me twice...happened to my boy I had seeds sent to...he has been living free and clear (and dealing) for years afterwards...


THEY DO NOT GIVE A FUCK


How many seed orders do you think they confiscate a day? Hundreds. Do you really think they care about you? For all thy know you're getting them sent to you to send to your boy who sends them to his boy and so on and so on. They have no clue what you're up to, won't waste money looking, and won't ever put you on any "list" or anything. Fear not.

I had some taken by U.S. Customs years ago and got the same type of form letter. Nothing happened. Relax.

 

Not too worried about any custom agent follow up. No way any time or resources gets wasted tracking a 19 seed criminal mastermind down...


Ras, hope they do let me change the 'name' and address. I figured any further items sent to that name and/or address from the same sender country would get triple red flagged for sure.

Their response: Please send us a copy of the letter and please make sure to check up on any local laws.

Turns out TA is going to play ball! Once I proved my claim was valid, they simply said "Yes sir, right away sir.", for the low-low cost of an extra $10.50

Shipping costs, I imagine.

 

The $10.50 was the extra cost of the souvenir gift I ordered, thus guaranteeing my order (a T-shirt in this case). They give you 4 T-shirt sizes, a wallet, a tote bag or a crush-proof tin as your choices. Different prices for different gifts. You also get to choose weather you want your beans to remain in the original breeders packs or not, etc...


Bottom line, the purchase of ANY one gift guarantees delivery. They clearly state, buyer is responsible if no gift/guarantee is purchased. Best $10.50 I ever spent :thumbs-up:

 

Received a status update email from TA today. My re-order status is now set to packing/processing and should be out in the next 3 days. Gots me a tracking # and HIGH hopes!
