That just sucks! for the loss. I fear to get a pet because of the day i will lose them. But like someone said the good times are worth it.
I feel your pain brother. Last month I had to put my dog of 14 years down. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done. It still hurts but I know she's in a better place now. Youu'll heal in time. Someone who's never had a dog couldn't understand. Thoughts and prayers.
I just saw this, for the loss Res.....I can only imagine the pain behind the smiles from the memories. I love my Rott very much and I see him going slower year by year. I hope i can stay strong like you seem. Peace man..
Was thinking about CC and figured this would help close a circle. Our next best friend finds us. Always been that way with me an' dogs. One day you'll still be missing your old buddy and something like this comes along that needs a home. She's a rescue pup (they all are). A 'Yotedog hybrid the result of a chance liaison between a male coyote and lab female. She was destined for the needle when my daughter brought her home. Smartest most athletic little dog I've ever had. A true blue hunter that, sadly, will never cooperate in the field. Fast as hell when she puts the burners on. Just a streak of smoke toward the horizon. Acts like a cat more than a dog and vocalizes constantly to get what she wants....but she found a home. Nera.
I know I'm new and don't know anyone here very well but I want to wish my condolences to you resinrubber. It always sucks losing a family member.
Growing up I had a Coyote German Shepherd mix that was my constant companion and best friend. Her name was Jazzie. I had her for 13 years and she was one of the most loyal and energetic dogs I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Also very vocal. Beautiful doggy Resin. Glad she found a loving home with you. It's fairly rare for a Coyote to mate with a domestic dog.
They usually eat them rather than fuck them. Vet figures it was a big Lab and smallish coyote. An "if I can't eat it I might as well fuck it" thing. Already I can tell it's not a good mix for a pet and a good thing it's uncommon.
Yeah, my Jazzie loved me and my family but she bit 3 people during the 13 years we had her. She was a bit "wild" retaining a lot of that wild coyote instinct and luckily we had acreage for her to run and exercise otherwise she would have been nearly impossible to keep as a pet. She also killed 2 ducks many wild rabbits and squirrels and would constantly hunt the crows and doves that would land in the yard.
Nice!Glad ya found another Ill throw in a pic of my pack... MAD MAX /monthly_2013_03/Photo216.jpg.1125d72f635d0d0b26dace46231560d8.jpg
Max- Lol. Chow time boys! It's not common that's for sure. A lot of counties don't allow them that's why she wasn't good for adoption. Usually coyotes will kill a dog but occasionally an old or young non-dominant male will grab some strange. Don't know anything about fox. Asked the same damn question of my vet. He claims it's genetically impossible. Dunno meself.
Pretty cool huh? Theres some AMAZING Dog Hybrid breeds out there:icon_salut:..... and some not so amazing
Anatolean Shepard or a Neopolitan Mastiff are 2 kinds of big dogs i like. Biggest Dog iv ever seen was an Estonian Rdigeback. WOW,big dogs! I really would like a Bullweiler though:thumbsup: Over here in the UK we have 4 or 5 breeds banned including pitbull. The other day a girl wanders into a garden with 5 staffy's in it with the owner at work, shes holding a meat pie she just bought. They maul and kill the girl and armed police had to come and shoot them all dead to even get in the garden to her body. So guess thats us gonna have staffys banned now too,and i LOVE me a nice staffy:sad4:
That Bullweiler prompted me to check-in with my bff. He recently lost one of his English Mastiffs to bone CA. I told him how cool the Bullweiler loked. Color it black and tan and it's a Rottweiler
