I am in the process of remodeling and I had to move a bunch of stuff around, leaving me wti almost no space. Since I figured I'd have more room in a few weeks I figured I'd start a few plants. I took an empty book shelf and lined one entire shelf ( It measures approx. 8" deep x 2' wide x10" tall) with foil and mounted two floros to the ceiling ( I made it so I could raise and lower the lights with no problems ). I also made a cover so that I can totally enclose it if I want to. My question is: How many plants can I start in that space and how long can I leave them in there ( Basicly, how long will I have until I need their new home to be ready?)?
How long is the shelf? Be careful with foil it can concentrate light and burn your plants. I f you must use foil then use the dull side. Flat White Paint works the best.
well if you've got 10" height overall... and your fluoros will be taking a few inches, plus a few inches for the soil and all... you can grow them maybe into their 2nd node, if they're squat plants
I used to believe that u need a minimum of 6ft to be able to grow...but with plant training...u can get by with 3ft... ...but only 10"....hmmmm i jus don't know...
