Something you think about but don't share with others.

Spent more than a few years as a young adult largely living out of my backpack with my thumb out or out of the trunk of my car.

    It was freeing.

I think when the time comes it would be a wonderful way to spend the end years as well.

Do your thing old head. You always have a place to crash with us.

I always thought if anything ever happened to the wife, and the kids were old enough, I would do the same thing. I hope I never have to make that decision.

I always just wanted to have enough money to take my bike across this great country at my own leisurely pace. Stop when and where ever I wanted to and stay for however long I wanted and then just point the bars straight ahead and ride on.

I did that shit when I was young. I lived on the beaches of Hawaii and sold da kin pokololo to the tourists for three years. Out of those three years I stayed in a hotel once. That turned into a bad scene. I got ripped and ended up in queens medical center for two months, one of which was spent in intensive care. That was it for me. As soon as I was well eneough I moved back to Cal and have not set foot in the Islands since.

All of our kids are grown and out on their own. Plenty of empty beds if you are ever passing through our neck of the woods, Res.

Since I was around 10 my (uncles) took me on tons of excursions, they were truckers with a severe sense of adventure.

When I was 18 I started making decent money, 30k+ living at home till 21....yea, party time! Me and my best buddy drove EVERYWHERE, anywhere at any given time. We had a badass boss/owner who we worked for and we always had 2-3 months off in the winters...so far Ive seen 42 states, no alaska or upper northern, which is oddly enough closest to me. There isnt a place I havent skiied from PA to cali....hiked even more

Now.....I have a kid and can afford damn near anything I want, kid gets it all:BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:

but the reward is wayyyy better than a trip these days, soon enough she'll be my co-pilot tho

Traveled a lot already, always found my way back to this shithole city....don't know why, destiny I guess.

I would love like LVS is saying to travel and just stop when I want to stop, stay as long as i want to stay, shit like that. I'm sure that will never happen, but as long as I can dream it, it gives me a goal to work towards

Not going anywhere soon, but thanks for the offers tho. Just hits kinda right being a grey beard going back to when things were peaceful.

    Kids'll do that CC.

    Lvs- wind-n-road. Sounds perfect.

CC, you know in about 10-15 years your stress levels will be through the roof trying to cock block every man in the state of PA...only reason she'll be your co-pilot is so you can keep the guys away :roffl:

Glad I have boys...at 18 they have three choices, college, military, or get the fuck out :)

RR, I always pictured you as the dirty old man type...you know fake like your crazy and walk around with you dick hanging out just to get a laugh

Funny you mention that.....it has been done more than once. Gots the pics to prove it too.

No long hair greasy smoke bumming fool. Wasn't that way when I hitched before why would I do that now? A nice stream or pony tail and everything is nice and clean. I could join Lvs and Bud and we could be an unaffiliated MC......... Blue Smoke MC sounds nice. Or maybe the Silver Backs MC. Dunno.

One thing fer sure is hanging around waiting for the world to get slow and my bones to petrify doesn't sound appealing at all. Rather wear out on the road or in a garden.

Dude if I can figure out a way to get my Airhead secured to the deck of my boat I'm taking off. On the other hand maybe this summer will be the summer I ride out to CO from the east coast. You know we've all got to stop making up excuses for not doing the things we dream of.

Got a nice pay day coming in April so I'll be out to carve up some spring corn and to toke legal weed. Legal weed! For the first time in my 52 years I can go somewhere and toke LEGAL WEED! Every head in the country should be making a pilgrimage to Wash state or Colo in the next year.

BB- It ain't about money. It's about being happy and living in spite of it. If I die broke and happy it'll be a good thing.
