I could cover my whole family for under $500 on the silver plan (half that with the tax credit). And it is the Affordable Care act, not Obamacare.
Since I don't have insurance anyway out of pocket is the same to me with or without. And if you are adding in the max pay out with the max premium, of course you are going to get a ridiculous amount.
Adding max out of pocket because it's HSA plan....you pay for everything then insurance kicks in. My HMO has max $1 k out of pocket, with $20 co-pay, even if I chop my arm off...$100 at the hospital even basic premium price is $8800... I'll take my HMO, this is going to kill our country
Thanks to the Affordable Care Act my uncle's desperately needed hip replacement is no longer a 'pre-existing' condition. Today he can shop for Health insurance. b4e..:thumbs-up:
That is kinda the point Nip, you can keep your insurance if you want to. It wasn't supposed to make it cheaper for everyone, more so people who already pay for insurance. Like I said, I already have out of pocket cost that would hit that easily. At least there is a chance I won't have to pay for some of my stuff this way. With that said, I probably will wait because my wife's company is about to give her insurance and all the jobs I am app to have it too.
This is a taxpayer funded boondoggle run by the Feds. They will fuck this up just like everything else they touch.
Im saying nothing except thank fuck i live in a country where we do not have to worry about money to pay for medical shit. Medical Care is like Water,it should be a human right:2c:
People said the same thing about roads, medicare/caid, and other government programs that work fine today and millions of people use.
You're seriously delusional if you believe that any government program "works fine". Show me just one government program that is not full of waste, fraud or abuse, just one.
I can't because 1. You have already made up your mind that all government programs are a waste of time (despite your clean water, nice roads, good health care system that is regulated, safety standards in all consumer goods, and the like) so no matter what example I give you will have already decided it is the opposite. 2. Nothing, government or private, is perfect and wherever there are people there will be abuse and fraud. That is not unique to politics.
yup, whether i stub my toe or chop off my leg, it all gets fixed for free. Doesnt matter whether im rich or poor, its free and a right
Health care for all should be a right here too, just not run by the damn government. Here's a flow chart to clear things up.
Healthcare should be universal, this is shit though. I'm still trying to figure out how remotely this is fair, I should pay 20x's more for the same thing as somebody else? How is that ok? And it doesn't remotely address the under issues with the healthcare costs. OK, joe schmoe walks into the hospital w/ ACA...he doesn't have money, and hasn't hit his deductible, so who pays....of course, I should pay for that as well. It's bad enough I'm paying for his insurance, but I should still pay for his out of pocket?? And they keep touting if you lose your job you can keep your insurance....how the fuck do you pay for it? That's right, ask me, I'm not taxed enough. I have no problems helping the needy, but at some point the well runs dry. Everyone has got to get skin in the game...this shit is not remotely fair Hank you are kinda right, but we always get through the big problems but this shit is going to bankrupt us. B4...I'm with on preexisting and eliminating the difference charts between men and women.
