Who's got it? I'm buying another policy and frankly this sucks. Went through the background shit with agent and told him I smoke marijuana. Get the questions from Agent 'how much... me' a little... him' if I delayed everything for a week, could you pass a drug test..... me' it you delayed for 6 months I would still fail There said they may have a carrier that will insure me, just wondering if anyone else has this problem and how they handled it.
They test you for everything...everything...even tobacco...white blood count....chlorestal (sic).....literally everything blood and piss and medical It's my agent so I'm sure nothing will get out, but not really sure what to do. You can't lie because if you do it cancels out your policy and fuck paying money and not getting anything when you need it....or paying the beginning of the policy and getting denied coverage because I piss green
They'd only want to test you once since it's life insurance so why not just use synthetic urine? I remember when I got a policy a few years ago the insurance co sent a nurse to my office for the exam so if I needed to, I could've use synthetic urine . Oddly enough I told the nurse that I just quit smoking cigs a few months prior to the exam but I did smoke a bit of weed from time to time. I pissed in the cup and sure enough I got my policy without any issues.. I vote for Synthetic piss and tell them to send a nurse to you office.. Nip, they took a blood sample too but I think the used the urine sample for the drug test, just guessing tho- Duc
Well, that shows you how long it's been since I applied for insurance. I'm good with mine and despite this obamacare mess I get to keep it.
As a matter of personal policy I never tell medical providers I smoke. Never. I deal with medical records all the time and if that's in there its an excuse for the man to screw you in whatever way he/she can or wants. They took blood from me. I felt, and still feel, invaded. I was a daily toker at that point, and I guess the insurance company decided they wanted my money more than they wanted to break my balls about smoking weed. I never heard a peep about it, got the policy. Had they said something I would have denied it. Or maybe their actuaries have finally figured out that smoking weed prob EXTENDS your life span. Insurance companies are evil.
Ofo, my wife has been on my ass forever about getting a real policy. Have a small one through work, but this is for something really happened. To answer your question about how you die with what in your system, I think that depends on how they write it up....like how all the movie stars say accidental over dose, etc. As long as it's prescribbed I don't think they can do nothing unless you have heroin overdose Wife doesn't work and we have kids so it's time. I have a meeting next wednesday with the agent in his office to go over everything, then they send a nurse out from there. At this point the cats out of the bag, I will keep everyone informed cuz I think others have/had/ or like Ofo will need the info.
I have been in some very dangerous construction and I ride, as a result I have several policies. I told my agent I wont give blood or piss and find someone that will insure me anyway and he did. MAD MAX
For Starters there is no god damn way I am taking a drug test for some low life insurance company. That is a outright invasion of privacy and this drug testing shit has been way out of control for a long time. So you die and your policy says they drug tested while alive and you were clean now your dirty and refuse to pay the policy. Fuck that! t6
What insurer? Would prefer not to test but I know I will have to for policy. I dont know if there's a certain amount that start testing for...ahit at this point id buy 10 small policies not to test

I have a small one with work (1 years salary) that they pay and then small $10k that come with my cards, but was looking for at least 500k just to make sure the kids and wife are ok. Not really that much a month, but it's double if you smoke and from what I am being told smoking pot might put in a smokers cat. Will know more next week, but I do know blood, piss, medical history review and a nurse checks you out just for under writing at least iwth for the 2 agents I spoke too. The first I didn't even go in to office nor say I smoked, but this one does my mom's shit and so I trust him
Me and the wife have insurance. Luckily in the uk you fill out a form that asks how much you drink, smoke and whether you have any current medical conditions. You also sign a form saying they can look at your medical records. Within a few weeks we had a price for the policy level we asked for. No piss test and no medicals.
I seen a thing about Europe and insurance, like in certain countries you have to have physical to get a loan at the bank, think it was France, but thought that was really weird. I guess thats the difference between socialism and capitalism, you have the same standard no matter what, here private companies can pick and choose you
Agree totally, and with FF as well. Drug testing is a total invasion of privacy and it should be opposed by everyone, I think.
