My work history has substantial blanks but im on a path now...

Jack of all trades ,master of none. Worked in a dairy at weekends and then delivering milk to doorsteps on weekdays 3am to 7am before going to school and finally after school 3 nights a week i would go collect money from the same doorsteps. This kushty little number carried me through highschool and funded a few naughty schemes:lmao:

Left School at 16 (actually i got kicked out at 15) and started an apprenticeship in joinery then jumped ship to make industrial guttering for bigger pay. Had a few drivers mate jobs delivering washing machnes for Whirlpool and done some labouring work on construction sites etc.Nothing long term just a series of stop starts. Then a few friends who had Apprenticeships in printing managed to get me and few friends jobs with this American printing company (DONPRINT)as their #2 to run the huge ass printing machines. The IBM stickers and shit on back of your computer? That was us that printed all that shit. Worked there for good few years until the company moved outta town.

Then i became an employee nomad flitting around from Jobs in the Royal Mail sorting office to working as a machine operator for Coca Cola. Eventually settled on warehouse work doing nights forklift driving and making up despatches for the good trucks at distribution centres. It was huge ass supermaret warehouses and that led me to take up manager role in their store doing nightshft controlling the stock and making sure shit was on the shelves in time for morning.Did that for few years quite happily until i fucked the job of for some stupid reason like a comedown or a party happening somewhere that night....:BangHead:

Regular periods of unemployment in between most jobs in which extra cirricular activities funded my life.... Went to college in mid 'noughties' and studied higher english and computing then came a kid.... Like i said, substantial gaps in my work history for many reasons..

Fast forward several years and some serious setbacks and naivety and now iv done a few accredited courses in house with a company specializing in drug and alcohol treatment and counselling who i work for 2-3 days a week learning all the practical shit while they fund me to go to college or Uni next year to get my qualifications that eventually will enable me to be a fully legit drug counsellor, Adult Prison Worker or any number of potential routes i could go down. I figure at 35 this is my last chance at having a career doing something im good at and something i enjoy. This is the first time iv took on a job cos i want it and not just to use it to smother my real finacial revenue streams. Guess that means iv finally grown up huh?

I go in there and it doesnt feel like work compared to jobs iv did in the past. Its almost like you go to a building and chat to a few unfortunate souls then do some paper work, give out some needles to the steroid users and take some urine samples form the dudes on opiate substitutes or benzos to come of coke. It doesnt feel like a job and i now its not cos im only learning ,but still.... i shadow some of the staff 24/7 atwork and i see what their job entails and it STILL dont feel like work compared to manual labour jobs iv done. So yeah....2014 more shadowing, more studying, more learning and then come 2015 hopefully diploma'd up and ready to enter the profession on a humble but respectable 18-19k a year (UK £'s). Not sure what that is in $$'s? $35-$38,000? .Fingers Crossed:bongin:
